For reference, Jack Lonie was 67kg and Caleb Daniel was 68kg when drafted.

Hill, Butler, Hotton and Byrnes are all roughly Collards height. They are listed between 79 and 82kgs.

So at 65, Collard is probably closer to the weight of a 14yo Chinese gymnast than an AFL footballer. Will probably need to put on about 15kg (10 minimum) before he can lay a proper tackle.

Jim krakouer was about 65kgs wringing wet and he could lay a tackle and look after himself, depends on the individual.

A lot of people expected Gothard to go after Collard in the draft , somewhere second round, until the surprise pick by GWS at 12.

Listened to him on a couple of podcasts, get the feeling he's a great kid. He said his dream has always been to be drafted, so I don't really think it would be unexpected for him that he's going interstate.
