We were looking at Berry earlier so makes sense from a list POV.

Puts pressure on Collard to sort his shit out and now Higgins & Butler know they aren't 'locks' week to week.

Literally this year's Hugo Garcia 'who?' moment. No doubt he knows Hugo and fingers crossed he's got the same approach to training and getting the best out of himself.

Looks to be dual sided, raw but a lot to work with with some midfield craft as well as a keen eye for goal. Professional environment could easily clean up his game and he could be our Chad Warner pick! Yep, all that from a single game highlights video....

Always love getting behind a bit of a dark horse smokey so will look forward to him being in the RW&B.

“It was exciting but it was also a challenge and it made me show off what I could do,” he said. “It was a great experience and I could learn from a lot of the other boys and what they put in.

“I met with a couple of AFL clubs and had met with a couple beforehand. They ask you random questions that you normally wouldn’t think to ask.”

Shit eating grin confirmed.

Out of interest, anyone know how he tested?

Was part of the 2023 state alotment as opposed to "main" grouping, so those rarely get published in full, just, he wasn't in top 5 for example, but this might just mean he wasn't within 10 seconds of first in a 2km trial, or within .1 of a sprint that Hoffman went 2.861 in.

And yeah like the article we popped up states, saw him more as a HFF and not a small forward, though he does rotate there. Say he doesn't have Collards X factor, but he is more a bit like Snags in he knows leading patterns.

Brian and Brendon Said were premiership players with Sandringham in 1985, I assume Patrick is related?

Surely he'll be called Simon......??
