Love what Schache can become
Welcome aboard Josh Think this will end out being a very good trade I remember Brisbane players in his first year he was the most talented player that they had seen.
Had second year blues but I think there is enough talent to work with.

Boyd and Schache are both really tall and not overly quick but they're very different players. Schache's a pure forward like Dickson, Boyd might become elite but I don't ever see him kicking a huge amount of goals whereas Schache could if he gets it all together. Schache showed as a first year player with a body not anywhere ready for afl that he could still create shots on goal, but it will take time until he can build enough strength to utilise his long arms and not be moved off the ball.

Fair enough, I feel we are light in assistant/specialists too but will the club invest? We havent been given an indication they will.

Not 100% but very likely you guys got a steal with Josh. Much happier seeing him at the Dogs instead of Richmond or Essendon. We managed to wangle pick 15 from the tigers so we didn't do too badly.

He'll be a player who kicks the ball and handpasses, and catches it in a fashion that is declared a mark, he will also run, it is exciting

I think you may have been more victim of other deals.. it was us, Carlton, Richmond and i have discovered recently Essendon. When the Blues fell away by giving us their 16... Richmond pulled out of the whole trade period, and we traded with Essendon.
You were left with only us, and there was no way we were giving up 16 or 9 after getting nothing for stringer. Cut your losses and went with what was best for Schache.

At least we might have Lloyd on side now.
So how do people see him and Boyd playing in the forward line together? Both seem more leading forwards rather than big pack markers

They'll both push so hard up to the backline that they'll never actually be in the forward line, in true Western Bulldogs style.

Hopefully Schache develops into a forward that covers the ground well like JJK so he can still put on some pressure. Boyd should only be forward 55% of the time. He's more useful drifting forward anyway.
Overall, well, this is a funny game, trade period in this league is a crock. It's garbage, really negative space, like the footy media on hyperdrive.
Having said that, welcome Josh, let this mark a new beginning for you and a new beginning for the dogs. Let's hope this was our 2009 Hawthorn and Bevo gets to build the team he wants to get us to sustained success.

I hope so too but all kids have to do is ask too go home and we will grant their wishes, hell we will even take unders. Good luck next year-reckon McLean going to be a beast.
