Sanders now has a great opportunity to win the Rising Star with both Darcy and Reid ineligible.

His game against Collingwood was a good start. I'm expecting him to build on that
for the rest of the season and who knows what might happen.

Four months ago, if someone told me Ryley would play 14 games without kicking a goal and without getting a Rising Star nomination, I'd have thought that was crazy.

Surely, just surely, he gets a Rising Star nomination before the season is done. He hasn't done enough to give it a shake, but I'd argue he's done enough to give the top five a shake. He can't achieve that until he gets nominated, though.

Being subbed a handful of times certainly hasn't helped.
