Posting it publicly especially with Lycett being an utter flog, given what occurred last week, it wasn't the greatest look.

Nor was it a great look with the Iraqi Information Minister (Nisbett) lying in the press conference and then having the nerve to attack Ross Lyon for making completely appropriate comments post-game.

The fact Eagles fans can't see where the arrogance claims come from, well, that just says it all about the ignorance of that supporter base.

my advice to you is to focus on how shit your club is. better than worrying about our fans. and move on. think about next season and where youll finish in the bottom 4.

it's not so much the forgiveness that stands out for me, but the repeated statement that he would rather to not be the focus of the media and would like to recover outside the spotlight

Simpson slamming a question about culture
Defending Gaff at tribunal
Social media post supporting Gaff after a big win.

Probably heaps of other examples of people looking to take a pot shot at every instance.

(PS. what Gaff did was disgraceful and the punishment at the tribunal fitting, public condemnation understandable, but it has gone a bit far and for that, i am happy to see the club and mates support him.)

Our local media isn't just a cheer squad for one team.

Our games allow us to get used to hearing opposition fans cheering for their teams.

We can have things go against us without thinking it's a massive conspiracy.

We can recognise w***ers like Kennett without the urge to defend him because he's 'one of ours'.


These things are not true for weagles fans and players.

Basically that sums up the clubs achievements in season 2018.
