Few years out of the game, I wonder what effect this will have, honestly I'd think that's a disadvantage, but I always back the club to make the right call.

They really are looking at pushing this club in a whole new direction, he may be an old face, but he's ideas will be completely new.

Pike's appointment looks like a club-friendly, well-credentialed person who is prepared to step in for a year or two to fill a gap, until a longer-term replacement can be found. Good on him if he's been willing to that.

Yeah they were in the 4 in both years i think but not contending for a flag.

Good pick up IMO. Was rated very highly at Adelaide but was in demand in the Corporate world.

Pyke adds experience, maturity and leadership to a strong young coach.

I think that's a bit of a myth to be honest.

He's no longer out of the game than the highly rated Leigh Tudor (they both finished in 1996).

How dare you question Pykie Eaglemaniac. He was highly rated as a coach, when in the system and he's got a good footy brain, so I guess he'll lock himself up in his room and watch video after video to get up to speed.
