Cripps last year
Pick 40, which was basically our second rounder. Given the respective performances of Cripps and Yeo you could make a case for both being unders.

I think I've used the wrong word in 'unders', because in both trades it was plausible for us to simply swap pick 31 for Yeo and 44 for Cripps, yet the club was negotiated out of it.

Here's hoping the kid we get with 11 has a comparable or better career than the kid who goes at 6.

I'm in synch with the WCE team! Except we had a falling out in 09, much to their embarrassment. Hated the Weedon pick, thought it was borderline negligence

2007- Masten
2008- Naitanui
2009- Jetta
2010- Gaff (after much Polec/Heppell deliberation)
2011- Newman
2012- Didn't even speculate cause our first pick was so rubbish

So who does everyone want us to take this year?

I'll start.....Acres

Think I was firmly Masten Naitanui Jetta and Darling but I lost interest in 2011/2012 when our draft picks where so high. Too hard to speculate :p

Only big mistake for me would have been Darling at 4 :p

Exactly how I predicted it too. What a coup it was to get him and Gaff!!!

Same. Acres sounds exactly what we need, but I am friends with Doms mum so want us to pick him! (Not a good reason to draft a first rounder, but hey?!)

Sheed has a hot girlfriend and Acres is a friend of a work colleague.

Thats 2 into 3 spots, means we probably delist newman and rookie him perhaps making way for 11 and our other second rounder?
Will be interesting to see what we do over the next few days re: delistings. Given we traded out our floating third round pick for GWS's 3rd rounder (Pick 43), to actually use this pick we need to delist another two players.

So we have pick 11, pick 31, pick 43, pick 49 etc

Currently we can only take our first pick (pick 11) with 6 retirements, 3 rookie upgrades + Yeo + Ellis.

Newman from the main list to the rookie list makes sense given his 2013 and off field controversies, so that is one spot, but will be interesting to see if we do delist another player to use the GWS pick we traded in, rather than just using it for a rookie upgrade which would be completely pointless...

Fairly limited with our delistee's being really only from

Colledge 0 Games
Bennell 0
McInnes 0
Morton 3
Wilson 7
McGinnity 7
Brennan 10
Smith 12
Butler 15

or if Waters shoulder is done

Correct me if I'm wrong, but pretty sure Bennell is one of the rookies we are promoting reducing the options even further...

Barring a surprise Waters retirement, I'd expect the delistings to come from Newman, Morton, Wilson, Dalziell. Probably in that order.

Pretty sure all the others you have listed are contracted apart from McInnes, who I can't see being cut this early in his career.

I think I'd prefer Freeman, but he'll be gone by 11.
Ho hum about Freeman.

He may end up a very good player, but I am not sure he is what we need.

Similar height and build to Shuey and plays a little like him, in one sense and that is his stoppage work. However at the moment he struggles to impact the game outside of the contest.

Not much of a ball winner, doesn't really have a developed outside game, lacks the rest of the skill set Shuey has.

He would be good for a team like Melbourne.

Newman and Morton seem plausible, however it is the third player I am unsure about?
