What Cats Moment Gives You Chills?

This. Pretty much the whole 4th quarter in 09 is just a complete blur of insanity!!! The tension still freaks me out to this day, and the chaos that unfolded at the siren was beyond belief!
I actually pressed record on my iPhone just after the siren. There is about 2 minutes of nothing but screaming & jumping, complete madness!!
Even though you can't see it properly, we all know what's happening on the field. Seeing it from this perspective though is even more special

I LOVE those two, brings back the memories of what it was like being there so well, and like you, I teared up just watching them.
It's going to be a similar day weather-wise on Sat to what it was in '09, so let's hope it's a similar result too!!

I still get nervous watching videos of the 09 GF and 07 prelim
I've noticed with this Geelong team that they have a super strong 'never-say-die' attitude. And you know when the boys want to win. You know they hate losing more than ANYONE. The whole crowd notices that the Geelong boys want to win more than anyone, as they pile on the goals, disgusted with their form earlier in the game. You can see it from the fast, smart passes, to the sweat running down Jimmy's forehead, they absolutely hate losing. And when they put that attitude into play, which they do pretty much every game, I feel so proud to be a supporter of Geelong.

JCs smother in the Prelim in 2007. That's when I knew this group was going to go all the way. Nothing was going to stop them against the Pies, and definitely nothing was going to stop them in the big dance.
I got chills watching Hawkins hold Gibson off with one hand, control the ball, turn the other way and kick that goal in the QF this season. Feels like this group isn't going to let anything get in their way either.

This is a great recent one. I know he had torn Shoenmakers apart, but this just felt like Hawkins' coming of age. Felt special because we'd been waiting for it for so long, and it felt like the players reacted in the same way.

At that moment I just felt that this was a white Didier Drogba playing footy, but still the nightmare of the defenders.
Outside of flag wins -ive tried to pick one which i witnessed and which involves the 2 grand final teams Geelong and Collingwood -and i will never forget the opening round of 1967 at Kardinia Park Cats and Pies-in the sixties Geelong and Collinwood were allways in finals . Anyhow in dying seconds you guessed it we were 5 points behind and our Centre Half Forward Bill Ryan who was a sensational mark but a shocking kick with a weird ball drop either took a mark or was given a free kick 30 metres out -the siren rang -so there was mayhem -he took his kick after the siren and missed !-i can still see Tuddenham the Collingwood captain the Richardson brothers PeTer McKENNA all jumping for joy -weve won weve won -the umpire said hang on a tick -THE Collingwood defender ran over the mark -im giving Ryan another kick plus a 15 metre penalty -oh what a beauty -this time Ryan didnt miss -Cats by 1 point-the poor old Magpies

-2004 PF. Could have been excused for losing that by 50 considering the teams on paper but we played with heart and character.
- Max Rooke.
- Everything about the 2009 season. Highs and lows. Was in standing room for Grand Final. Couldn't see a thing but loved every second of it. CHAPPPPPPPYYYYYY!
- Daniel Menzel vs Collingwood. Pity he isn't out there this week. Every kid will be wearing no.10 on their back in 2 years time.

Finals moments will always come out on top, but I remember a passage of play in 2007 that went something like "Nathan, to Garry, back to Nathan - it's like they're in the back yard - and Nathan says I'll kick it!" which still brings a smile to my face.
2004 PF. Memory's a bit hazy on this one. I think it was 1st Q, possibly early 2nd. Either Wojo or JC ran down a Brisbane player (again, memory's hazy) and pounced mercilessly, stripping them of the ball and earning the free.
Can someone with a better memory help me out on that one? I've tried to look it up but there's nothing from that game on Youtube (apart from the teams running out). Absolutely epic play... I guess all the empyrean moments we've been treated to since have dimmed its particulars in my memory.

Yeah that was a fantastic moment!! Just went to show exactly why Harls was picked as Captain.

The team getting around Moons when he slotted his first goal in the 2009 GF. After his mental scarring from the 2008 GF, that shot was almost the most important of his career. When he kicked it, I knew we'd be OK

Nick Davis goals against us in 2005, hope that doesnt bring back too many bad memories for people but for some reasons it gives me real chills both in respect for his performance and for our loss. Was just an unbelievable qtr and moments, haunts me more than 2008 for some reason. It was just insane!

2004 Prelim - we had a heap of young guys and Brisbane tried to push us about.
Sure we still lost but the young blokes took it to them and stood their ground.
I remember Chappy going to ground over the boundary line and ended up on top of I think it was Voss who tried to intimidate him and Chappy grabbed him by the jumper and slammed him into the turf a few times just to say "you aint going to scare me".
It was at that point that I thought "woah, we have a good bunch of young blokes here".
