What do other Bomber supporters do in the off season?

I reckon I will play Rugby League in the summer, as that's how it's done in Tassie, heaps of the Aussie Rules players and Rugby Union players now do that to keep fit in the summer, getting quite big down here now

Really, Rugby League in Tasmania? It's unheard of in N Tas.

Town is electric and the tournament still has a wee while to go, so plenty of partying on the waterfront left here in Auckland. Otherwise playing footy until December (summer sport in NZ). Exams, then new years' at our holiday home in Central Otago. But will still wake up every weekend sad knowing that the bombers aren't playing.

This is my first offseason. I already don't like it.

On the bright side, I live in Vegas, so I am fairly confident I can find something to distract me. If that fails, I can always scream at the TV with my dad as we watch college football and the NFL.

NHL doesn't look half bad, with the NBA in a lockout and NFL not doing much for me, it would be nice to get into, but it's so hard to do just that.

I don't follow any other team/sport other than a passing interest during the cricket season and I don't mind watching a bit of tennis. I love the heat and sun that summer brings so lots of surfing (more than usual), swimming, kick to kick, chillin' at the beach and trying not to drink too much. Try and do a few road-trips and would like to spend a night or two in the Yarra Valley region.

All of this of course is to just fill in the weekends until NAB Cup kicks in.

Chances of that happening are getting thinner and thinner each day now. Might need to losely follow the NBL and NHL if the season doesn't end up happening. Hopefully the AFL never becomes a huge battlefield between players and team owners.
