What have we missed? - Kerr $3.50 favourite to land at Saints

Dal is good but isnt in the same league as Kerr, but i wouldnt do that type of trade. The midfield would improve slightly but it would be better to have both. Games are truly won in the mid so Dal backing up Kerr could push us up a spot or two on the ladder.

But have the saints actually shown interest? I think it was mentioned saints are only ahead in the odds because of the salery cap opening up, making some room for kerr.

My guess is Eagles are gonna be holding on for a big deal that won't come. Then get ripped off at the end of next year.

As much as I love ROK, to land quality, you must trade quality.

O'keefe and 3rd rounder/Fosdike, due to being a few years older than Kerr.

Would provide the Eagles with a great marking forward with a huge engine, and Swans get a game-breaking SKILLFUL midfielder.

Let's face it they are desperate for a good midfielder. A really good one, not a 37 year old well past his prime nor a Dal Santo with not much ticker or able to break tags or even Lenny Hayes who lacks A-class disposal.

I actually have it on good authority, that kerr was very interested and extremly close to a deal with north, but only recently has been put on hold...For what reason I dont know yet.

Why would anyone want Fosdike? I don't think the Swans would want to let go O'Keefe either. He's an awesome player IMO and Magic is just about done

That's putting a lot of faith in a player like Heath Grundy, who can't break into the side even with Magic out

Hard to know where all this comes from, and whether there's any weight behind it whatsoever

Bookies also have bets open as to whether Elvis is still alive, afterall

I know where it comes from - hack journos with nothing real to write about! Really, come on, he's stated he'll stay an Eagle, and what chioce does he really have?

I honestly believe Richmond are in a very strong trading position ... They have a top ten draft pick, plus a couple of WA boys on their list they could put together in a swap for Kerr ..
I honestly think Kerr would be a great fit for the Tigers, would be a very very good inclusion in a very young but very talented midfield ... They should go all out to nab him (plus they have plenty of room in their salary cap I believe) and they would just about be assured of a spot in the 8 next year if they get Kerr ...
But I suppose it also depends on the political situation down at Punt Road, and if Wallace and March can put aside their differences ..

Usually I would agree, but in this case I don't believe it has anything to do with the journos. I mean, they are just reporting on what the bookies have posted

But seriously, if there was any truth to Kerr wanting out, what team needs him most and what would you give up?

I would give serious consideration to a Dal + 1st Round pick for him, but go in with Dal + 2nd Round. Dal Santo has stagnated at St Kilda, and is no longer our "playmaker". The last 18 months he's done not much at all and a change of clubs might be just what he needs

We have a couple of young midfielders coming through (Eddy looks OK, Armitage looks OK) and Kerr can play inside and out. We already have two true insiders in Ball and Hayes, so whilst no daring to put them in the same company as Cousens and Judd, would mean that Kerr isn't necessarily taking the best tagger each week, or at least gets a better rotation

Having said that, we also need a tall forward, a ruckman if MG rumours are true, another back if Maguire can't make it back to what he should be ... are stuff it, time to bottom out :D

YEs i agree. Thats prob why talks halted, but the Kangas was his preference, which is quite suprising!!!

How do you actually know that? Kerr and management are denying everything which might hold as much credence as the pres backing in his coach, but how do you know North is his preference?

Would you be willing to give up Wells + draft pick for him?

Rther not reveal sources in public view, all ill say is someone involved wit the club is a close friend of mine. I would never post things like that unless they are true, and as i have said came as a big surprise to me too.

And in my opinion id gladly trade wells for kerr and a draft pick

Hehe first time someone had agreed with me on anything on this site :D:thumbsu: lol

as long as you meant Wells + draft pick = Kerr, and not Wells = Kerr + draft pick!

Hahah oops ok im stupid well someone agreed with me even if i had a typo...Ill live wit that haha

I'm not sure me agreeing with you holds much weight, but enjoy!
