I think they would rather just let Brissy drop him to the PSD or give him to GWS for compo.

You can't and shouldn't be forced to hand over a top pick because a good player wants to come home. That makes no sense at all.

In the open market, he would attract a first round pick. He also only wants to deal with Freo, which helps us in a small way IMO. PSD is basically not an option either you wouldn't think, unless he wants to risk GWS and Richmond both passing on him.

on the player, even though he's been average he would be massive for freo to play a leigh brown, petrie role. to be able to give sandi a chop out with a forward would be huge for them.

One Jon Patton is worth more than all the kids that will be drafted at 10+ this year.

with the first round effectively going to pick 26 this year, which is before clubs have decided whether or not they will be using compo picks, a late first rounder and 2 players may not be paying overs.

Ideally i'd see him as worth a pick between 10 - 20 and a 2nd rounder/fringe player as well.

Both walked into the PSD not picked up by any other clubs. (The point isn't how "bad" you think they are so don't bother trying to argue that)

The point being Clark has said he wanted to play at Fremantle. Meaning we can offer what we like and if Brisbane doesn't like it then we will get him in the PSD.

If you think that is draft tampering then look at Tarrant last year.... Collingwood or I retrie..... AFL did nothing. Carr "I'll live in adelaide and if you pick me I'll be playing from here" He got where he want. AFL did nothing.

He's worth miles more than Freo's first rounder. Brisbane need to stand tough and send him to the PSD if they won't deal. He won't get near Freo's pick in that.
