Opinion What is your most nonsensical Freo hill you'll die on?

Clarke shouldn't have been subbed off in the 2013 GF. He would have done something in the last quarter. Dawson should have been subbed off. We had defensive coverage when Hale went into the ruck and anyhow better off playing shorter in the backline and trying to win.

Posted this earlier in the thread but my hill is that we win the 2013 GF if we had started Lachie Neale on the field rather than only subbing him on with 10 minutes to go.

Same Sutcliffe should have been the Sub.

Its a deicsion i reckon Ross would regret in hindsight Lachie was in great form in the 4 weeks leading into finals as well.

Not really he wasnt there for the season.

We had our B22 out there on GF day that was available. And champion data had us winning on expected scores didnt they.

Lachie Neale being the sub was a blunder though. I would have had Sutcliffe as Sub who never handled pressure well.

Ibbotson may have done a better job on Gunston but even Ibbo in big games shat the bed a few times tbh.

Our talent identification for players on other clubs list is shocking. I feel we wait for player agents to contact us, rather than identify talent to target.

We should target non wa talent as well, like Port do.

In retrospect you could almost say that Silvagni would have been a good inclusion.

biggest factor was Lake. Whatever the defenders equivalent of a 6-8 goal game is, that is what he did. If the Hawks didn't have Lake, they wouldn't have won.

Totally agree, also if Garrick Ibbotsen, who'd enjoyed his best year of footy, hadn't missed the whole final series I think we would have won that GF.
