Hopefully the club (respectfully) tells Barrett to get ****** now and in future. The club has no obligation to justify player selection to a muckraker like him.

Give him nothing and he can make up whatever s*** he likes, as he does anyway.

Clearly AFL media don't give us a chance in the finals...A fleeting glimpse of Stringer was the only time we made an appearance in their 60sec commercial.

This article is poorly written. Go back to school Lloyd you absolute Muppet. The strength of the dogs is its defensive structure. That is what wins Premierships. Not saying that we will this year. however, what Bevo has instilled in the players is the importance of good defence. This is the reason we have won maybe 6 games by less than 10 points. The current team is a work in progress. Expect the totally unexpected in finals. Watch this space.

“Expected the unexpected”

Not a very bold prediction mate. A bit too ambiguous.

I think the club may have already done that (without due respect) hence the amount of carping that he does about our off field activities.

Strangely he's been quite complimentary of our on-field endeavours of late. I suspect that he doesn't want to be seen as churlish and kicking a side that is putting up a mighty fight against ridiculous odds. In true Damo style he playing to his strengths where he's much more comfortable going for the soft underbelly of the club. Better that than comment on things he knows nothing about.

Nice avatar, very cheesy, your talent is undeniable.:thumbsu::)

I think we have to be realistic enough to realise that just because some media are critical of us about whatever, that it's not always a personal attack and as hard as it is to hear at times it's actually correct.

I actually prefer that the focus is well and truly off us as we head into finials. The sexy teams at the moment are Adelaide and Sydney. They have the pressure ATM.

Rightly so we are not the sexy team, brave we are, injured we are, future we have, but this year it's right that we are not given much chance. All the things they say about us are true, we can't score enough, our KP players not yet good enough and so on. All true.

I can remember times where we have been built up so much and it amounted to naught. So who knows what will eventually happen. In the end it's just opinion, until it becomes fact or not. We will find out in a couple of weeks.

Does anyone have the graph, or information on how young our team was on the weekend? With average number of games?

Agree with the sentiment here TK, but would argue that whilst we could do better going forward, we have HAVE SCORED ENOUGH to win 15 games [probably 16]
There has been a lot of commentary about our scores for ranking, but very little relating to our scores against. Our defensive set up is our weapon moreso than our attack.
We are about to enter the big end of the season where it matters little by how much you win - just that you finish with your nose in front.
If any of our finals are close - you'd back us in !

I don't know if it's been raised anywhere else, but Dangerfield on Talking Footy (gee, he's in a good place with himself ) when they're speaking about Jake being dropped while he says the right things about Jake being an exciting, naturally talented player who can turn it around quite quickly, but he also says "his form over the last month has really been quite poor !!
Now, we can say it Patty, but coming from a player from another club just doesn't seem to be the done thing. I hope it goes in Jake's and the Dog's collective memory banks for future reference.
