Seeing it is the off season and some will be desperate for any fix i thought i would pass on this (late) bit of information. I was channel flicking yesterday and landed on a already underway segment on 'Gourmet Cooking with Justine Schofield". Her guest was Josh Dunkley and they were doing something on a salad that goes well in (Mission) wraps. If you are desperate to see The Beautiful One you may be able to catch it on the tv channel website. (It is WIN up here not sure what it is back in civilisation (TEN ?)

Is Josh or Justine The Beautiful One? (both quite plausible).

Mark Stevens saying Boyd off training indefinitely and Picken also yet to get the green light. Libba on fire and Macrae said last two seasons unacceptable.

Back pain is really bad and can/could/may exacerbate depression. when i get a back issue i am not the best guy to hang around with. :-(

I feel like any sort of lingering pain makes you a grumpy campaigner. At this stage with Boyd I've kind of given up on him having a meaningful impact at AFL level going forward. Was enormous in the grand final which I'll always remember. But as for the next few years I'm not really expecting anything.

I feel like a dick but I've written him off for this year already.
Too many warning signs over past few years.
Good luck to the fella, the club needs to shoulder a large amount of the responsibility for his career thus far.

How do you figure that?

Where is the dislike button ???

Don’t want to any of our guys anywhere near the AFLX shower of shit.....

Why would Boyd spend a few hours on a plane both ways with a bad back probably the worst rehab he could do.

Haha it's 2 hours of sitting down probably in an emergency exit seat. Gets 10 days of being around the boys, being involved with day to day stuff and keep his fitness up. Seen a few people commenting things like this online which is weird. Our medical stuff who have his x rays / scans and tend to him daily definitely know what is best for him, and i'm sure a short flight to Brisbane to be with the team is definitely fine.

Spoken from someone the same height as Boyd, also with lower back / spinal issues my whole life.

He’s 23 years old mate lol!..

Nobody knows what’s happening with him unless you’re in the inner sanctum of the club. Let’s just wait and see.

In the public domain recently (late January): he has not got over a back injury that took him out of the side towards the end of last season, he's training but he has not been able to take on something called "football loads" which I understand to mean real training.

This on top of the previous two seasons where he played 11 and 12 mostly mediocre games.

This season is already shaping up to be more of the same.

I wouldn'ta be surprised if he quit at the end of 2019 or the club worked out some deal to get him to retire.

I still think Tom will get to a stage in his adult life where he just says “f*** it” and goes out and just happily plays football without overthinking it or feeling external pressure. But time will tell!

I would love to see that too because we have all seen how well he can play at his best. But to me, the tea leaves aren't great for this year and that will be the third season in a row.

Who has said he’ll miss a majority of 2019? Thankfully he’s not on a mil a year anymore.
