it is too small capacity wise. And it is imo not great for cricket or footy. A covered stadium will keep the damn dew out and also allow a Sydney Test to Not be affected by weather.

Surely you can't play test match cricket under cover??!! Do they do this anywhere? Test cricket is meant to be affected by the weather.

We have the largest supporter base of any Club in Oz and across all codes. Look 10 and 20 years ahead. It will grow esp in NSW. More fans will become members. It would be nice if there was room for them to attend.

As for Test cricket, it has had almost as many rule changes as footy. The roof would be open bar for bad light and rain.

The Giants would share the ground. A decent large capacity stadium also positions Sydney to host the GF, decades down the track.

Our club has too little diversity in its playing group and at board level.

Agree and raise you one. Our club is only good at developing players who have had good upbringings. We pick the easy players to develop and don’t know how to effectively support players from troubled backgrounds.

Not necessarily backing the specifics but totally agree with the intent of 96. All clubs need to be a part of it as they will be stripping memberships etc. Gutless otherwise.

It blows my mind that this is a controversial opinion. Our (hopefully former) captain showed himself to have a mental age of 9 and seriously jeopardized the start of our '24 season, and everyone's like "aw leave him alone, boys will be boys". And then they wheel him out to apologise in a forced press conference, in which all he could muster was barely contained derision rather than contrition.

I would never let him captain our club again. It would reflect very poorly on our culture.

Not so sure about 121. None are short term investments, which I think is a good play as our best 28 is pretty solid. Cleary is the most likely to play sooner but is probably 3 years away. The two tall boys need time to develop.
