Anybody know who is going to take the places of Bergin and Coburn on Saturday for the grannie.

So gisborne to stay in the bendigo league.
I have it on very good authority that the people at last nights vote werent even told of the final numbers of the vote it was just a case of the votes are in and we are staying.
Does that seem odd to anyone else out there ?
I am pretty sure in any vote you are always given the numbers ?

Anthony Belcher must now start planning as he was the one who said that he could find a way to raise 40k.
To go on record saying that was a pretty stupid move imo.
Where on earth will you even start Anthony ?
Money is tight with everyone at the moment and people simply cant afford to spend anymore than neccessary.

I believe i read something on here earlier suggesting that the high payed players at the club play for just the love of the jumper next year, imo what a great idea.
Start with belcher then the coach , saunders and sharpe wouldnt come cheep.
That would save around 20k to start with.

Poor move imo , as the finacial gain that gisborne would have recieved by joining the ballarat fl far out ways anything that the bendigo league had to offer.

Given that the purse strings are well and truely tightened down at gisborne i cant see them going out and getting a few key position players which they desperately need.
Hope the faith they are going to be showing in the local talent comes off , because if it doesnt the boys from gardiner reserve will be on the end of some huge hidings next year.

With young Coghlan having such a stand out year and still being a teenager is it likely that he will be at the dragons next year or will he pursue another crack at making the highest level via VFL or SANFL??? Would almost be worth a couple of years having a crack at this considering AFL Clubs are going to be scouring the country for talent outside TAC cup due to the next few drafts being given to the new clubs.

Speaking of footy up north, i heard a whisper that the one & only pinnacle health led his side to a premiership against an apparent kaliana style opposition in one of the queensland leagues last week. According to the 15 newspapers that dave sent back he pulled off some match turning moves in the last quarter.....i think one was to sit himself down at the bus stop for the rest of the game.

Seriously though well done dangerous

Amem brother! He is an absolute embarassment. The drivel he spouts on WIN each week is a disgrace and when they use him for official functions it gives the perception that he does speak for the BFL.

He is a cardboard cut-out and a tool and should never be seen in an official BFL capacity again.

I'm sure someone will say that his heart is in the right place and he loves the BFL etc.. but I'm not buying that. I think he loves getting his head in the local media and he has found a vehicle to do it.

Its great to hear im not the only one that thinks Jock Clark is a tool... It is embarassing for our league to have him on the tv every week, outsiders must think we are all a bunch of hicks in allowing Jock Strap Clark to e able to show his head not only in public but on stage and to a televised audience... shame BFL councilers shame shame shame

Thanks MAX, for the record we beat Whitsunday who were undefeated all year with an average wining margin of 76pts.
They also probably average 20 goals a game and we held them to 9.
I did come off for the third quater to have a look at things from the sidelines but played the last.
There's a Bendigo bank up here so if you organise a transfer you might be suprised what you will learn from the master!

Its 9pm thursday night, grand final teams are in
For Golden Square nick carter has been selected, along with nathan bell. out are james walsh (ankle injury), while shaun white has been omitted.
At South Bendigo, the only omission named is Shaun Bergin (shoulder). Into the squad of 22 are Daniel Nalder and Jared Keely.
That's the selection news tonight.
Looking forward to a big day on Saturday.

As a Sandhurst supporter it is not often I feel sorry for anyone at Golden Square! However it is a shame Darren Walsh missed selection in their grandfinal team. He has been a great servant of the club - a very fair player and someone who always produced his best when the chips were down. Look at his performances in losing grand final teams.

I am not criticising the Square selectors - I am sure they feel the same.

Are you guys totally serious? Jock is a colleague of mine and gives his time every week to put Bendigo Footy first! Be it on WIN or Fresh fm he does it week in week out when he could make money out of his time. He gets air time because he is articulate and his opinions ACTUALLY MATTER unlike you plebs hiding online sniping genuine good guys. He is not a BFL paid representative. Figure it out.

Yeah has been a great player no doubt but he played a couple of games what about the kid Walsh who played pretty well against us and was in the best a fair bit. I have heard he had his hand firmly in the air to play but I see Adamson said it was too great a risk! If Nick Carter wasn't available im not sure it would have been too big a risk but anyway it was easy to see Squares selectors were in a mighty tough spot.

Tips for tomorrow-
1sts- Square to win by 22 points.
2nds- South win by 1 point.
3rds-Dragons in a boilover by 11 pts! Wouldnt that be amazing!

The whole point was that when the BFL hires him to do events such as the Michelson, it gives the impression that the other comments he makes in the media are endorsed by the BFL.

He is a tenth rate journalist at best, his opinions are old school, irrelevant and narrow minded and his 'schtick' is cringe-worthy and often offensive.

Just because someone gives up their time (And I would be gob-smacked if he is not paid by Fresh or WIN) does not mean they are immune to being critiqued. If he chooses to put himself in the public forum like he does then the public have the right to form and express opinions about what he says.

He is certainly not paid by either media outlet. Not a Zakk. He was not hired to the michelson for Fresh, none of them were, the entire Football team are volunteers and should be commended, not condemmed. The real joke was Damien Drum suggetsing Gary Ablett snr could bring "The gear" to one of the coaches phantom dinner parties...political suicide!
