We don't play them in Geelong because our ground isn't big enough to cater for all the fans that would attend. Simple as that. As for the last time we did play them at Skilled/KP....it would be a very long time ago I reckon

The answer actually surprised me - it was in 1999 in Round 15, I had been thinking 1995 as I can remember watching our game against them on the Cool Cats season highlights video. We actually only played them three times in Geelong for the whole of the 90's. And for the record we won it in a tight one by 3 points.

Now that was how you make a comeback! :D

Good to see Harley and Wojcinski in that team. I cant remember how fast monica was back then?

The Flip Side

As a club we really don't match up very well against Collingwood. Look at the big loss in 2006 and again last night. They were both big night games at the MCG

In this light, I think our victory in the Prelim Final at the MCG at night looks a lot better than what you might first think. It shows you how hard they must have fought to get up that night

It's hard to take a belting like last night. But the Cats are something like 35-2 over last 37 games. We've got a few key injuries, lost a key forward in Nablett, got some form issues, and it's still early in the season

In short, Take It Easy

Came from about 4 goals down at 3/4 time.
Eddie was crying.
I put it on dvd.
We had lost nine in a row.

Then we got pumped by the Roos the following week in Sydney when Ayres had a brain fart and put a broken down Stoneham on Carey, who proceeded to kick 9.

There is no way we'd play a home game against the Pies at KP. Just finacially illogical. Why make only 600k at home, to play at the MCG and make about 800k?

What needs to happen is that when we play the Pies at the MCG ask for a day game. I think under the lights we struggle (well obviously).
