I think he will be back this year, the club would want him to have a few weeks before the finals, and his first game should be a home game. R19 v Freo sounds about right to me.

I picked Geelong. It would be a smart marketing exercise for the club for the last ANZ Stadium game for the home and away season.
Advertise it hard, and get a good crowd.

Bulldogs game for me. Not really sure why. I don't really buy into the off-field issues bullshit. He's a thug that gets frustrated when things don't go his way and he lashes out. Bulldogs game gives him an extra couple off on top of the suspension.

I chose Freo just to participate, in thread.
Reason if he doesn't come back in 4-5 he wont till next year . He will have lost match fitness, and would be too disruptive to bring him back closer to finals as he will need to gain form before then.
I would try and pick an "on paper" easier game with lesser opponents rather than Geelong or Collingwood again.
Just a taught what can they do to trial him? Maybe twos but unless they player the better ACTFL teams he won't be tested !
Maybe they need to hire two huge country thugs (reasonable footballers)to harrass the crap out of him at training competitve drills???

I have to agree. He was obvoiusly told to calm down and focus on his footy and then couldnt calm himself down, gave away a couple more free's and threw the punch.
Giving him one more weeks rest after the suspension should be all thats implemented. Right now he obviously justs wants to play footy, but cant play under the terms of the team. One weeks on the sidelines (club enforced) should be enough for him to realise that what the team wants is the only thing he should be concerned with.
I think Barry Hall will come back a disciplined great ala Barry Hall 2005.
