You know what is annoying though. They are right about positives, of course there are some.

The development of Butters and the young midfield core. The games into Lord. The development of Bergman and Jones. The future of JHF.

Of course, it's all great. There's a lot to be positive about.

The problem is it totally ignores the fact that our coach has had a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 2x5th position finishes and turned none into a GF appearance.

Yes there are positives, but do you want to surround them by a failing regime and just continue trickling along without success, stuck in a mid table rut?

The acceptance of mediocrity is blinding.

My issue with that is they talk as if we are the only club who'se had young players develop during the season. Every club can point to some players that have come on this season as positives but **** me they don't like us justify backing in a failed 10 year coach into a new 2 year deal on the back of some midfielders who were already above average taking another step forward.

Considering Koch went from going to review the entire football club and within 2 days had removed the coach from that and then it was complete lol. It's just a closed shop of a group of people so utterly disconnected from the members and the actual club ethos they are meant to be representing and driving it's actually amazing how unbelievably disconnected they are. They are all like this because there is no way anybody outside it can put any pressure on them because the members have absolutely no method of forcing any accountability or change and they know it and that is exactly why it's developed into a personal plaything for the few at the top.

"To the poor staff member who is having to read yet another letter like this, I apologise. This is obviously not directed at you, but being a member I have absolutely no control in dictating anything that happens at my club - except what little impact not renewing a membership would have.

Please stop sending me membership renewal notices and vacuous nothing emails from a CEO who claims to be accountable.... whilst no one takes any responsibility. The wording in sections is almost identical to that after the shitshow against the bulldogs a couple of years ago.

I've been going to Port games since I was five. Last year I buried my Dad with my guernsey and his sister's scarf she wore at the 2004 GF. I haven't missed a game all year, going now with my son. I care about my club.

I don't expect to win every week. I don't expect premierships. But I demand a club that tries to. We don't anymore.
