Surprised he’s not going straight into coaching.

Unless he wants a break from a full time environment.
I think he said he'd like to keep playing while his body is still able. At a lower level he'll probably have more of an opportunity to both play and coach at the same time.

I am now expecting Joe to suit up for the Casino Lions or Lismore Swans in 2025.
I do really feel that Joe will just float off into the Joe Universe.
But there is this little feeling in the back of my mind that he will have a year off and then want back in and not at the Lions.
Maybe a Hero’s return to the Bombers 🤮
But as I said I feel he will just disappear, never to be heard of again.
I really learnt to Love Joe for all of his good, bad and ugly but I would be pretty mighty pissed if he come back to another club.

JL’s off to play with Corey at Glenelg for a year and using it as a stepping stone into coaching. 🐴👄
Poor Corey, always the stepping stone, never the stepper.

Glenelg. Born in Adelaide and is my old team. Never missed a game up until I was 20 and moved away. Younger brother played for them as well so happy to see both Lyons playing for the bays. (pity about their colours:'()

Not sure if this is the right forum for this question but here it goes. Does anyone know if there is a list of players that did participate the Grand Final Retiring Players motorcade? There seems to be more media reports about who didn't i.e. Dusty but not who did. The GF Record has a list of retirees but not sure they all took part in the motorcade. Happy for any suggestions

Was not many AFL players. Only a few utes and half were Olympians and AFLW players. Which I thought was weird.
If I remember
Hawkins and Touhy, Jarod Lyons and about 4-5 others only.
Jessie Hogan was in one as Coleman winner.
And one with retiring umps which got booed :)
