Where do you think Ellis is at??

Ellis is a great link man. A good reader of the play and brings others into the game.

He's been continually clobbered this year and if he gets fully fit he'll be a vital member of the team.

Showed in 2008 GF that he will stand up in big games.

I liked his game today, he gave us run from the half back, which we have lacked all season, slowly his getting his mojo back.

Ellis' role, as I see it, is to is to be a creative playmaker off halfback.

Dinky little kicks etc are part of how he plays this role, but most of his problem at the moment seems to be the teammates he's passing it to are generally just standing still.

When the side's up and running as we know it can, he performs this role really well. I reckon he's got a pretty good penetrating kick and handball (he love's a quick, flat pass by hand) which he uses as weapons when he can hit moving players.

Hes building little by little each week, and surely people now would accept at least he no longer 'out of form' and can stop calling for him to be dropped?

Looks good for the 2nd half of the season. Having said that, will probably get targeted and smashed by the scum next week which will set him back a little.

X's stats were hovering between Cyril and Burgoyne's, closer to Cyrils who was adjudged to be with Hodgey the best two on the ground.
7 more kgs on this very talented young man's body, and he will be virtually unstoppable.
We are stabilising our team sheet for game days, injuries and suspension the only reason for juggling.
We are very well poised.

For the first time in a while he seemed to be moving well - didn't look slow at all and seemed to be running hard around the ground and also playing with some confidence.
With hodge, Mitch, sewell and burgs playing in the middle there's enough strong bodies in there so that he doesn't seem to be smashed as much playing inside.
Prob played the best game I've seen him play this year - still has work to do but am encouraging form trend over the last few weeks.

I'm starting to like the signs of this kid.

Against Melbourne he could read the play as if he was Hodge and his decision making has vastly improved over the past few years.

Good player to allow opposition to underestimate as he has placed scoreboard pressure in big games, which is rare for most of our midfield.

Remember, if we had Dale Thomas he would miss important goals all the time and go missing. Ellis does the opposite.

I have liked te last few games, and it's excellent he is now kickng a few goals. IMO Daisy has only made up to really good player this year, and because of X's first year he was still at school, and then had sme injuries, I consider he is behind Daisy. I expect him to have go final series, and could get under some opposition's guard.
