First thing is it is hardly Hardwicks fault for what has happened over the last 30 years, in his time we have improved each year, we are now competitive with the top sides on a regular basis.

Carlton currently have two more wins than us and we both have 110%, Carlton won it's first 3 games we lost ours, Richmond had the tougher draw and since those first 3 games we have been the better team ladder wise, you have gone backwards and are currently 3 wins behind last year with 2 games to go, explain?

It's pretty obvious that Carlton is either tanking again or Ratten is taking the piss as you say, whatever happened to your much publicised play for top 4 it seems to have fallen on it's arse

My opinion? The Karma bus has actually gone out and smacked the most of the offending clubs in various ways, mainly because the picks are just one part of the building of a list. Watts, Trengove and Scully have yet to set the world on fire, and Carlton despite the Murphy, Kreuzer and Gibbs troika are for various reasons just nibbling at the lower reaches of recent finals series. Richmond have done well with drafting since 2006, but the karma bus pretty much dictated that apart from Deledio most of what was picked between 2001 and 2005 was just terrible.

Therefore, draw the line now, make it such that tanking never appeals again to any club and just forget about it. Penalising the Dees would be catastrophic, they scarcely have any hope now, losing future picks would just about kill them.
