PS “cheating backmen”? I’ve honestly not heard of this before. Thought most opposition supporters felt Swans defenders were tough, but not dirty. Please elaborate, if you could be bothered. Names, incidents etc.

When do people move in from the crazy concessions? Maybe when GWS stop benefiting from them, but unfortunately, they way they were set up, including academy access it looks like the gift that keeps on giving.

Cola at the time (early mid 2000s) was fair due to the expense of Sydney, they way it was used was smart as in draftees would live in a senior players house (min 2 years) to help pay their house off. This may have gone on to long, who knows, who cares now. In regards to Sydney’s backmen I have always thought they get away with too much holding, arm chopping and grappling before the ball is close enough to the contest (5m I think). Main culprits were Bolton (great player by the way), Leo Barry, grabber Grundy and ted Richards. Swans have been a terrific club for a long time now and it’s good for AFL. However I don’t like them and don’t want them to win a flag anytime soon.

Geelong by a mile, but I'm pretty sure a 3 man team has never won the flag, especially when one of them can't tackle, one takes annual leave in finals and well it's hard to pot Danger but geez their entire season relies on him.

That pent up frustration was always going to overflow into a river of being completely insufferable for everyone else. I make no apologies for it. It might be longer than 37 years until the next one.
