Does every thread have to be hijacked by Geelong supporters demanding that the AFL do even more than they already do to win your clubs games for them?
Your club already gets gifted a place in the finals every year, and every year proves that they don't belong there. Just be happy that you club is the official Victorian AFL mascot and be content that you already get much more advantages than any other Victorian club. Stop forever winging and bitching and moaning and complaining and constantly demanding ever more unfair advantages and leg ups.
Its just so pathetic.

Hahaha, you one hit wonder club fans get so worked up after years of torture.

Richmond. I love the team, love Dimma, love Dusty, reckon Trent Cotchin is heavily underrated and their young guns are exciting and fun to watch.

But my GOD have the supporters been IRRITATING this offseason. We've seen complaints that Vlaustin wasn't AA, claims that Jack Graham is better than Bontempelli and Cripps.

Every time there's a mere mention of other historical Premiers being great sides or Adelaide finishing on top in 2017s ladder a defensive Richmond supporter will leap in like a superhero nobody needs to show up to remind us that they won all their finals blah blah.

There's been more comments about Richmond being a dynasty and their players all time greats than there was from Hawthorn supporters in 3 years. Doggies supporters enjoyed their win but were humble about it and happy to chat about footy once the season started.

There's a Richmond board thread about salty opposition supporters (which I'm sure this post will get put on), absolutely screams of being insecure that nobody else 'rates their premiership' as highly as they do. Have never seen a supporter base defend a premiership as much as they have (a premierships a premiership IMO, all as worthy as each other).

Genuinely love their side, was rooting for them all the way in the finals but goddamit I want Bigfooty back! Rant over

I hope its another 37 years before Richmond fluke another premiership because by then I will be dead and won't have to put up with Tiger fans carrying on about how their team is the greatest sporting team in history.

Wonder how many of the essendon votes are because the OP is essendon?

Voted geelong anyway - do not want their era to have the same number of flags as our era.

I wouldn’t worry about that. Selwood and funnily enough Ablett are the only players from their 2007 premiership team still remaining. Nearly the entire list has been turned over. They’ve had 6 seasons without saluting too. Only a handful of players left from 2011 too.

Essendon by a country mile. Have despised them since 1996. Their fans even more so. Probably has to do with putting up with them because I've lived in the area my entire life and attended the local schools.

Try not make it nasty, but obviously as footy supporters we often have tribal (and often irrational) dislikes of other sides.

So, forgetting whether or not you think its possible, which team would you least like to see win a flag?

Easy one for me - Carlton. I want that spot on top of the podium of flags won.
Sorry but aren't Hawthorn leading the way with 4 flags? Then Geelong, Brisbane and West Coast with 3 each.

I don't care if NSW/QLD don't want to follow AFL tbh.
And I'd rather not give away flags to gain apathetic supporters.

richmond wouldn't exist if that attitude prevailed when the VFL was on its knees

The AFL saved Richmond and the expansion into these states will secure Richmond's future for inevitable struggles ahead

Are you talking lack of money, lack of crowds, inevitable troubles, do you mean lack of players?.....oh your post is crap and full of rubbish.

Richmond was one of the clubs that nearly went extinct

this fact of history isn't an attack on Richmond. Rather just a reminder that 20-30 years of uninterrupted growth isn't normal. Recessions will come again and with that, football clubs will suffer just as they did in the past.

When tough times came, it wasn't flags that saved Richmond. It was building a strong economic business model and shifting away from jurisdiction based emotional tribalism. In the future the same thing will hold true.
