He's developing nicely, as with the vast majority of young rucks he will need a few years to work on his endurance and skills in the reserves. I went to a fair few pre season training sessions and he is a long way off fitness wise, needs to work on his agility as well.

He is looking handy in the reserves though, looks good as a ruck who can float forward and take a decent mark as you said, if he wants it enough he will succeed IMO, he is a good raw product.

FB: Busslinger, Croft, Cleary
HB: Gallagher, O’Donnell, Jaques
C: Poulter, Sanders, Freijah
HF: West, JUH, Davidson
FF: Weightman, Darcy, Dolan
R: Smith, Hynes, Garcia
IC: Jones, Kennedy, Khamis, McNeil

Cleary will likely be delisted in a year though.

West and Hynes rotate through mid and forward. Khamis fills in where needed. Naughton just misses out (late November 1999) so Davidson plays a bit of third tall in this lineup.

Good talent at KPD, in the middle and small forwards.

Bit light on ruck support and KPF.

26 games on average across the 22.

So I take it it’s all those who were born in the 2000’s.

We now apparently have 24 on our list who were born in 2001 or later, and over a quarter of our list (12) are currently under 20yo.

B: Stocker Caminiti Schoenmaker
HB: Wangmil Tauru Travaglia
C: Wilson Phillipou Byrnes
HF: Henry Sharman Owens
F: Collard King Keeler
R: Dodson Carroll Windhager
I: Garcia Hastie McLennan Boxshall
S: Hall

E: Heath Barrat O’Connell Said

Loaded with backline options going forward: Tauru, Caminiti, Barrat, Schoenmaker, Wangmil, Travaglia, Hastie, Stocker, O’Connell (all presently 21yo or under, except Stocker).

Similarly lots of forward options: King, Caminiti, Keeler, Sharman, Owens, Henry, Collard, Hall, Said. Higgins missed by 1 year.

A couple of very promising ruck options: Dodson, Heath, plus Keeler as a forward/ruck.

Need to keep adding to the midfield: Pou, Windhager, Travaglia?, Garcia, Carroll, Boxshall. All currently 21yo or younger.

Plenty of options for the wings: Wilson, Wangmil, Travaglia, Henry, Byrnes, Hastie, maybe even Tauru.

brayshaw born in 1999

wouldn't be included as we are talking 2000 onwards

otherwise i'd include LDU, Xerri etc who are also 1999

If you told me 2 years ago that Geelong would have a solid team in this lineup I would of laughed.

Now we have Holmes Bruhn SDK Smith Dempsey Humphries Clark and some very established 1999 and 1998 born players as well.

Tigers 25 & under team...

B: Gibcus Blight Trainor
HB: Brown Trezise Smith
C: Banks Lalor Ralphsmith
HF: Campbell M Rioli Mansell
FF: Sims Faull Bauer
R: Ryan Smillie McAuliffe
I/C: Armstrong Hotton Ross Green

Others....

Alger, J Clarke, Gray, Sonsie, Dow, Fawcett & 2 x project rucks, basketball converts Colina & Hayes-Brown.

Bit of an embarrassment of riches suddenly. Needs reinforcement in running defenders, another class inside mid or two, and at least one of Ryan, Sims, Colina & Hayes-Brown to make the grade as a ruckman. Very very close to having our 2029 Premiership team already at the club.

balta is 1999 born, 26 next year

for simplicity this is 2000 born onwards so noone is older than 25 next year

ESS

B: Prior - Reid - Clarke
HB: Roberts - Hayes - El-Hawli
C: Duursma - Caldwell - Martin
HF: Perkins - Caddy - Menzie
FF: Davey Jr - Jones - Kako
R: Bryan - Tsatas - Durham
I/C Cox - Hobbs - Visentini - Lual

That's a poor team, lots of work to do in the list management space

For West Coast

Maric Edwards Bazzo
Allan Jamieson Hough
Johnson Ginbey Hall
Hutchison Shanahan Long
Dewar J Williams A Reid
B Williams Reid Hewett

Ic Brockman Chesser Davis Barnett

Freo the best currently

For the Swans

FB: Riley Bice / Will Edwards / Caleb Mitchell
HB: Nick Blakey / Tom McCartin / Braeden Campbell

HF: Jesse Dattoli / Logan McDonald / Corey Warner
FF: Errol Gulden / Jack Buller / Chad Warner
FOL: Will Green / James Rowbottom / Caiden Cleary
I/C: James Jordon / Patrick Snell / Angus Sheldrick /

Not perfect but not too bad.

In the coming year, Fremantle, North Melbourne, Hawthorn, and Gold Coast stand out.

Although, I don’t know how many of Freo’s star youth are still 25 and under

Freo have 6 very strong players, Jackson, Young, Serong, Treacy, Clark, Amiss.

And another few decent enough players Frederick, Sharp, Chapman, Walker.

And some players yet to prove themselves in their roles who should be ok, Johnson, Erasmus, Reid.

Very strong group with some of the top ones having big runs on the board.
