Why wouldn't he? If he was coaching one of the other 17 clubs I'd want him to stay there forever too. One less club we'd have to worry about ever beating us in a final.Kenny has the backing of the supporters of 17 AFL clubs behind him. In Kern We Trust.
After 132 unsuccessful games as a player and 246 unsuccessful games as a coach our man Kenny is finally on the cusp of winning something! I'm so proud. He's finally top top top!
Don't worry, just dropped in my vote... tied game!he's being pipped at the post by chris scott at the moment. poetic.
Hopefully at the CrowsIf Hinkley is sacked by Port, He will find another job.
If Ross Lyon can still find Employment during the corona virus outbreak, Hinkley will find another job.
He'll hold the record for least successful coach of all time maybe forever too, will go past Bill Stephen in round 11 next year.Ken Hinkley will hold his seasons coached at one club without a GF record forever.
RTB ten times the coach of hinkIf Hinkley is sacked by Port, He will find another job.

Is he 'the problem'? Who knows. But what we do know with absolute certainty after 11 years of no success and of underperforming when it counts time and time and time again is that he's not the solution.Maybe it is Hinkley's time, but hes not a bad coach. I think hes been amazing.
Port people's confidence is wonderful, and I love our brother club, but this "Hinkley is the Problem" garbage is utterly delusional.
Port is a small club with not enough money or good enough facilities. The playing list is not the best albeit beautifully developed.
Similar profile to North, who blamed Brad Scott for failed runs. Once he left the lack of resources smashed them to the bottom.
Of course if Port fall when Ken leaves he can be blamed for that I guess.

Won only 2 finals in 9 yearsSerious question. Has a supporter group ever hated a long term coach as much as Port supporters hate Hinkley?
Every club has had a coach who has done poorly for 2-4 years, been unpopular as a result and got moved on. I'm talking about a long term coach who has actually produced some reasonable results. Can't think of anyone as hated as hinkley.
Failure to win finals, failure to make grand final with a list that is close enough particularly in 2020 with the covid advantages, and seeming protection by footy media not afforded to any other coach are the main reasons; then peripherals such as playing favourites and greyhounds.Hatred of Port “supporters” towards Ken is baffling to neutrals. Ken is undoubtedly Port’s finest coach since they came into the AFL. His win/loss record at nearly 60% is superior to all other of Port’s AFL coaches, including Mark Williams. He has been very unlucky in finals, and could easily have snared 1-2 flags.
We all know they can be pretty insular in SA. Is the fact that Ken is a Victorian a big black mark against him, which he can never overcome, no matter how successful he has been?
Yeah that's fair, coaches for better or worse have a lifespan. Is he 'the problem'? Who knows. But what we do know with absolute certainty after 11 years of no success and of underperforming when it counts time and time and time again is that he's not the solution.
Truly can’t imagine another club ever being so complacent when it comes to a coach. Even Bevo's in the hot seat despite winning a flag and making another GF in the same time. It's almost a meme how ridiculous Port have been with Ken that I sometimes have to stop and wonder if the footy gods are trying to take this piss out of me.He'll hold the record for least successful coach of all time maybe forever too, will go past Bill Stephen in round 11 next year.
I wouldn't call the list paper thin tbh, two players in the top 5 AFLCA votes is nothing to turn your nose at. And even if the list may have gone over expectations, we saw the absolute failure 2018 brought. Have a look at that list and see if that team should've capitulated the way it did. That's the year he should've been gone if not for the fact he threatened to go to the Gold Coast a year prior and we locked him in for way too long.Yeah that's fair, coaches for better or worse have a lifespan.
I am reacting to the cooda wooda shooda blaming him for not winning grand finals. He's taken a paper thin list way higher than it looked to be going on paper, especially this year.
If he gets cut anytime soon he'd make an awesome mentor/assistant eg at Richmond. Not for Carr, who may be the natural choice at Alberton: whoever comes next at Port must have clear air.
Who is responsible for developing the list? Are you suggesting we should sack Davies or Cripps? The same group of blokes have been there close to a decade at all senior administrative levels so who is at fault?Yeah that's fair, coaches for better or worse have a lifespan.

You can't sack Cripps. In the only 2 years we gave him any draft collateral he hatched Rozee, Butters, Duursma, Bergmann, Williams and Georgiades.
