Toss up between Daicos at his best or Fabulous Phil Carmen at his best, (Phil would have to come with a good shrink though)

You loved paying money to turn up and have the privilege of watching these two freakish talents play football, they took not only the game but the spectacle of the game to another level when they were out there.

It is hard to describe to those who did not see it but, that first season of Phil Carmen's at Collingwood -where he missed 8 weeks with a broken foot and still came second in the brownlow- is the finest individual season I have ever seen. Perhaps Gary Ablett in 89 came close. Phil seemed to be able to do anything with ball in hand, and seemed to be able to take a massive grab whenever he flew at a pack. All these years later I have still never seen anything quite like it.

And the year Daicos kicked 90 odd goals was special, he just could not miss, kicked more goals from impossible angles whilst under pressure than most blokes kick from the goal square, he invented most of the new ways to kick for goal employed today in that single season.

Bucks……easily….

and having him on the field would fix the problem of having him in the coaches box.

whether its bc we are a young side or its bucks.. but i have never seen a collingwood side play so differently from week to week. i do recall richmond playing the same a few yrs back with hardwick doing all sorts of weird sh it.. perhaps its genius at work trying all these different combos or its simply stupidity.. i for one think its a tad stupid what hes doing given the fact that results will get him under severe pressure.. so def more the latter.

From the last 5 years - Leon - his highlight reel is glorious. The era before that - Bucks - once in a generation player who did it all and did it with style. From my youth - Daics - lots of flash but equal amounts of substance - I'll never forget his screamer in a final against Carlton which we won by 57? odd points. From my first years of finding footy and following the Pies at age 4 - Ronnie Wearmouth and Len Thompson.

So many other players I miss - Picken, Moore, Barham, Banksy, Millaine, Ray Shaw, McGuane, Monky, McCormack, Didak, Brownie, ...........

For the current team, Peter Moore would be the perfect 2nd tall forward/ruck that we have been trying to recruit for years.
Daicos the mecurial small forward/midfielder to complement Elliott and Cloke.
Bucks to just be Bucks in the guts.
Jimmy Clements for the backline general with good disposal and defensive abilities that we are screaming out for at the moment.

bloody ben reid.. why god??????? a fit and in form ben reid this yr and id say we'd be clearly in the top 8.. absolutely nothing from frost and brown going forward.

Gavin Brown by some distance for me. Still my favourite player and probably always will be. Best moment is obvious - up in Danihers face after returning from a concussion in the 1990 grand final, I was only 9 at the time but was there with a painted face and flag and can still remember seeing it first hand.

Not a flash player but very highly skilled and able to play in the middle, forward or back as required. He and Buckley were the constant shining lights throughout the tough later 90s but I was definitely more of a Browny fan although I of course admired Buckleys skills which were admittedly superior.

I've never seen a player go as hard at the footy as Browny nor witnessed anyone who put their body on the line for their teammates as often during my time watching the game.

He's the kind of player every team needs in order to be successful. A tough, skilful leader who sacrifices himself to get the ball.

Of those I've seen, Daicos, Bucks and Sav. Sav not on the level of the other two, but as kid in the 90s, there was a period where he was the bright light.

Remember in 1993, I'd pretend to be him and imagine I was breaking Fred Fanning's record - I really thought then he'd do it one day.

You are a d......d!

If you don't rate Bucks as a coach don't belittle him as a player.

He was a champion player and I don't use that word often.......show some respect Snowman!
