A Sydney win would be a great thing for football in NSW, which would ultimately lead to more revenue from advertising, which means better tv-rights deal in future. Objectively, a Sydney win would be a great thing for football.

Of course, it doesn't hurt that they're my team.

:D I thought that was Collingwood? ;)

I'd almost like to see the Eagles win it if I thought it would shut parrot up.

On second thoughts, I'm not sure what's worse, parrots bagging of the Eagles or their supporters pathetic defending of the club. Their gloating would be too much and parrot would just change focus to whoever lost (probably the Saints). But really, West Coast supporters make the lemmings look like free thinkers.

Obviously don't want the Crows to win, definitely not the Swans (watching NSWelshman gloat about it would be too much), Brisbane no way, Freo would be unthinkable (although at least they’d have to beat West Coast), North maybe, Bulldogs I could cheer for.

What a great end to the season. Couldn't pick what was happening throughout and still can't. Of course I want the Swans to win (and pleased to see they are so many people's second team right now). But think about the make up of the likely Top 4. . .

Represent 4 states. Eagles played great fast footy all year in 1st and Crows (underestimated earlier) playing hard accountable footy in 2. Third (so far!) is Saints - exciting, talented team with wacky coach. Fourth is the Swans - no compromise, hard team that was even criticised by the boss of the whole AFL earlier. So four teams with two different styles. Finals games from one side of the country to the other. And no-one has any idea how the finals will go.

Then there is the whole battle for the rest of the eight (and the possibility of the Roos snatching 4th) and the wildcard of the Doggies reborn.

For those who wanted unpredictable - you've got it! Roll on September.

Yep being crap for all those seasons to get high draft selections and priority picks wasn't easy.

Wll deserved.
