What makes Hawthorns midfield look so good are the key forwards they have to kick to. The Hawthorn Midfield are doing more damage than the Port one so far this year. orts forward line this year is quite impotent, bar one player in Motlop.

look, Hawthorn are a good side, but too many Hawthorn supporters are getting ahead of themselves, a few injuries and they are gone.

Both very good, with Ottens maybe a class above Cambell and Taylor. Both very hard and tough at it. Ablett also has an ability to find space and time that no Hawthorn midfielder has, nor anybody else in the AFL bar Judd. Geelong's midfield so far by a whisker.

Rating these 8 players 3,2,1, I would have Geelong on 20 and Hawks on 18.

The real difference i feel is when consideration is given towards the 'next tier' of midfielders, those who can rotate through when needed.

Chapman, Enright, Rooke, Stokes, Wojcinski and Mackie

I have the total score at 32 to 27 in Geelong's favour. Not a huge difference, but a difference none the less. Hawks second best for now, and hopefully it stays that way for another couple of years
