It's pretty crazy he's still the last proper career key forward we've had.
Just warming up the ol' poll fingers.

The Clayton Oliver obsession club might skew this vote but the correct answer is NeitzThe best leader this club has ever had. He was born to be an AFL captain.

in fairness we were flakey as **** when he was captain as well. Neitz/Daniher had nowhere near the amount of talent at their disposal however.I want Neita to face off with Gawn so I can say Neitz would never be satisfied with straight sets finals exits. I wish he was around now to put the fear of God thru some of the w***ers.

Yeah I get what you mean, not the most naturally talented guy but got the absolute most out of himself. I just remembered he didn't play in either of the 04/05 elimination bed-shits as well so you can't pin that on him.Yeah but that's more on the recruiting department. Neitz was never intimidated by physicality, never choked in big moments and wasn't proud of failure. The bigger the game and moment the more you could rely on Neitz to lift. This playing group is everything Neitz wasn't.
Yeah the way teams actively avoid kicking to a leading FF because they are scared of a turnover has ruined the spectacle. Footy resembles more of the 70s where it's just long kicks to packs* I loved Neita, after Farmer left he was my favourite. My folks only took us to the G' 5-6 times a year but felt like every time we went he'd kick a bag. I miss how footy was played back then, when the FF's were the stars of the show. You'd get Neitz kicking 8 or 9 and you'd have a Robbo or Yze as the 2nd banana kick 5 and they'd barely get a mention.
