If West Coast win a premiership (or multiple premierships ) with Masten and Kennedy in their team and Carlton don't win one before Judd retires, than the answer is pretty obvious.

Why are people obsessed with someone winning this trade? One of the best trades in recent memory, win-win for both clubs involved, everyone needs to get over it.

I can't help but wonder, with the respective midfields and froward lines of both clubs, if they wouldn't both be happy to swap back again. The blues can cover Judd now and they would love JK. I think we could cover JK and would love Judd in the middle.

You could argue that Judd leaving started the spirelling down the ladder which ultimately led to 3 years of top draft choices.
An Eagles rebuild.
Thanks Judd.
We have people of great talent and good characte now.
Not money grabing , self centered, "think I'm David Beckham". type people .

People need to remember that Judd turned a whole playing group around, and some would argue his affect was larger than that.

He provided leadership to a lot of young players who were looking up to role models like Fev when Juddy arrived.

Masten's performance tonight did nothing to merit the difference between Kennedy and Judd.

Go wash your mouth out with soap.

Carlton still comfortably.
How many games has Judd won for Carlton off his own boot this year and in the past?

Kennedy is a good solid forward which Carlton need but Judd is a much more valuable player overall.

As for Masten nothing needs to be said he is a contender for one of the worst 3rd picks of all time. Armfield/Masten cancel eachother out.

Judd: 3 BnF's (probably 4 in a few weeks), 4 All Australians, 1 Brownlow Medal (maybe another one next week), 1 AFLPA MVP

Kennedy: ....

Seriously, making these Judd vs Kennedy threads should lead to an instant red card. They are that stupid.

Who the hell cares, a trade is a trade, there are no 'winners' If Judd were to have his worst season of his career next year and Kennedy kicked 100 goals it still wouldn't make me regret the trade one bit, the best thing my club has done for ages (considering where we were at the time) and I'm sure WCE fans feel the same way from their end. Get over it.

after 4 years id say WC look like they got better deal kennedy is most likely to be involved in a premiership side in next 3-4 years where judd is getting on and i cant see carlton being in contention in next 3-4 years just my opinion

The fact that youre calling it the Judd trade implies that Carlton is winning it
I didn't take it that way. It really is the Judd trade because it only occurred because Judd wanted to be traded.

At the moment I think it's pretty even, but I think West Coast will be the long term winner because Kennedy and Masten will be around for longer at the Eagles than Judd will be at Carlton. As good as he's been, thank goodness Judd didn't choose to go to Collingwood because we didn't have the high draft picks to offer the Eagles, and it would have cost too many important players that have since won a premiership.

As much as I dislike Judd, harsh judging him just on tonight. Every chance Carlton would still be a basketcase without him helping to lift them to out of the doldrums in the initial years he was there. Kennedy is good, and getting better. Masten is finally looking as though he'll at the very least be a competent first 22 rotational mid. Neither match Judd's usual influence on a game. Though, he has admittedly looked very average the last month. Carlton fans will be praying he comes back next year in his early season form, if this is a sign of whats to come, they could be in genuine trouble, unless gibbs manages to slot into a midfield spot.
