OohhNo idea if true, but there were suggestions he was more Dunstan than Scott
So who are the next batch of assistant coaches everyone is hyping up as senior coaches in waiting?
Didn't we even interview Garry Hocking? That seemed weird as hell given he seemed to struggling to even stay in the industry at AFL level by that point.Interesting thing about Nicks is he had very little hype or buzz about him; it was a very low key class with no one really standing out
Did the South players lock Don Scott out of the rooms during a half time break once?
I haven't googled it, but I think Ratten has said he won't coach again.Ratten is one thats missing and would belong in the Former/No box
He did okay at Carlton and Saints, seeing the rubbish which followed him
He might still have senior coach ambitions and would have a lot of intel from other clubs. He's probably #1 for me of the former AFL coach list. Probably #1 overall really.
I liked Yze as an optionInteresting thing about Nicks is he had very little hype or buzz about him; it was a very low key class with no one really standing out
he apparently was too forthright as to what the issues with the club were and offended too many peopleDidn't we even interview Garry Hocking? That seemed weird as hell given he seemed to struggling to even stay in the industry at AFL level by that point.

i read that as he told roo etc some home truths about how shitty the club is run, and they didn't like it
one of his interview questions when he went for Nicks' role was what would he do to fix the downward trendReally? Garry Hocking would know.
I can’t recall him working for us in another role

What about that young up-and-comer Skcin? I think he'd be worth a try for 7 years or so.So who are the next batch of assistant coaches everyone is hyping up as senior coaches in waiting?

I like almost all of this but I don't it's likely. Williams is a dead set no. He's hated us from the moment he wasn't selected in our first training list.No point just sacking Nicks. Need a complete clean out.
My ( semi) realistic group would be.
Nathan Buckley will never Coach here, I doubt he coaches again. Media is better.
Head Coach - Ben Rutten. His tenure at Essendon was not bad. They played Finals and was sacked because they thought they had Clarko.
Senior Assistant/midfield- Stewart Dew. Was a great Senior Assistant under Longmire.
Forward Coach - David Teague. Walsh brought him to our club. Under him our forward line was brilliant.
Defensive coach - Jack Hombsh stays. Our backline operates well and he is becoming a well respected coach. Potential head coach material here.
Coaching mentor unpopular opinion here, but Mark Williams. He has been involved in recent Premiership success. Has ties with everyone I listed above. Is a qualified teacher and is great at mentoring nit just coaches but players
GM Footy Ops. Jason McCartney. Poach him from GWS. One of the best in the business.
Head Recruiter. Anyone but Hamish.

James Kelly from geelong would be a better coach than buckley imo
If Buckley is open to coaching Tassie, he’d be open to coaching us
I’m so sick of Nicks I’d be willing to give Bucks a blank cheque
