There's three teams above you on the ladder mate, reigning premiers mean you won the grand final last year that's all.
Sydney are clearly the best team in the comp at the moment, and by a margin, whilst neither of the other two teams above Collingwood have beaten us, so it's debatable that Carlton and Essendon are better than us.

As always though, all will be revealed in September...

Right now, Collingwood as reigning premiers are the team to be knocked off their perch.

carlton fans tend to go AWOL come that time of year, think thats why theyre always so up and about in june.

Are Carlton really about to play 17th placed Richmond for the second time this season on the weekend?

Guess how many times Collingwood have played Richmond?
Line up who has played the most top 8 and top 4 sides next.

We'll let you guys postulate about the future given you haven't got much from recent history to get excited about.

We'll discuss reality.
No need to postulate about the future - I prefer to take it one game at a time and concern myself with the present. Still plenty of footy left this season

Hey we don't do the draw, not our fault if we haven't played the three other top 4 sides (Syd/Bris/Haw) recently
You haven't played any top 8 sides recently either and now 7 of the last 9 at the MCG and you'll all be saying you made the finals legitimately.

Ah yes rather than looking at the draw in its totality you focus on one matchup to decide which draw has been more difficult.

Cheryypicking data at its best - Hoyney would be proud 👏

I hope you're lolling 😆 🤣 😂

In any case, any team that finishes higher than it should gets found out pretty quickly in the finals, TWO straight sets exits last year as you would recall
