Yes I know what is coming when the string is pulled, we all do
6 decades 8 decades?
I reckon the reality of it being yet another wasted rebuild for Carlton must be hard to take - is it?

Haven't you seen enough games to conclude Carlton won't be contending, yet again? And on your second point I am happy to let the year play out and see where we end up before evaluating our season. I prefer to see all the games through rather than make judgements off one or two games.
Hey Corn Cobbers - what's that rancid smell?
Oh, I know - it's what Carlton have been cooking up since 2012!
That's a burn these days?!No B2B
How does that happen? I am hearing reports that many people are now casting doubt over the 2023 flag. Some people are pointing to the many "close finishes" and asking they be analysed for suspicious umpiring decisions and player choices.Love the ploy from Lollingwood supporters to distract from their failure to even scrape into the 8 the year after a premiership.
It ain't working guys.
InfadguatedObsessed.
Holding back the tears is a Carlton fan anthem.Simply Red were "top of the pops" last time Carlton saluted and we're getting lolled at for not going B2B

Anyone would think that Collingwood have a sniff of finishing above us for 2024 ( thread related ) .Another night of laughter
Good ol socks puppets
Oh.The next question is - who will finish higher in 2025 ?
Carlton fans argued for it in 2023, when they knew the ladder was cooked in June. This is the desperate manoeuvre to save face for Collingwood, is it?
"Higher on the ladder doesn't mean better!"
To be fair some Blues argued this after last year's finals, when they outlasted higher placed sides Melbourne and Port . Frankly it had some merit, finals is what it's about. This is the desperate manoeuvre to save face for Collingwood, is it?
"Higher on the ladder doesn't mean better!"
Yeah rightI rarely read what that poster writes, let alone bookmark it or commit it to memory and raise it monotonously years after the fact.
Carlton fans conveniently ignore the H&A ladder and try to use just 1 game to argue who is better when it suits them, then want to flip back to H&A ladder as soon as it doesn't!!To be fair some Blues argued this after last year's finals, when they outlasted higher placed sides Melbourne and Port . Frankly it had some merit, finals is what it's about.
Pies must consider grand finals as dead rubbers when playing CarltonMeanwhile, the Pies just keep beating Carlton when it aint a dead rubber for us.
Definitely not a concession, it's a thread title that isn't open to interpretation. Pretty basic actually.Oh.
So you're wanting to change the question from 'who will be better' in 2024 to 'who will finish higher' in 2025?
Is that a concession that the team that finishes a position or two 'higher' may not actually be the 'better' team?
Why do you keep lying? No Carlton fan ignored the ladder - you need to finish top 8 to make finals. The claim from Carlton fans (and the Pies fans agreed) was that finals should also be taken into account when both teams made it. In no way is that just going off a couple of games like H2H.Carlton fans argued for it in 2023, when they knew the ladder was cooked in June.
As the Baggers had a StKilda like lil streak once the pressure was off, they pretended the ladder wasnt the measure.
No need to save face when once again the Pies beat Carlton twice HTH.
Perhaps in 2025, the Pies will have top positioned locked away a month early so Carlton can get a win against us in anothrr dead rubber.
Come on! This is a banter thread and you are being sensible! To be fair some Blues argued this after last year's finals, when they outlasted higher placed sides Melbourne and Port . Frankly it had some merit, finals is what it's about.
Presently Carlton is higher than the Pies and despite the Pies 2-0 hth your case is strong. It's not over though: we could still finish higher and arguably if wee lost a final to youse it would at least square the hth.
That's the way it usually goes old mate.Simply seeing if you apply consistent logic as to whether winning more games than a team = who is better that year.
