Geez footy fans have short memories.

We had 15 on the injury list by Rd7, by rd10 it was still 14.

We were pushing shit uphill from there.

Did a ridiculous training load through to R0 and it cooked us. It was why we sacked our ‘highly regarded’ fitness boss.

And yet the ONLY injuries of note came late in the business and hit two of your guns (TDK and Chaz). It was always gonna be that way when you lose key forwards. Pies know this....we played the first 18 weeks without McStay, 10 weeks without DeGoey and the last three months without Mihocek.

Don't fall for the "defence wins big games" malarkey....gun forwards win BIG games.

The team that has taken one top 25 pick to the draft since the start of 2020 is in "draft or bust" mode?

We just turned a country footballer and a MSD’raftee into Houston.

Don’t worry about our ability to draft/develop, brutha.

If you think the only injuries Carlton copped this season which were of note was TDK and Curnow you clearly didn't watch much Carlton this season.

Imagine trading all your first rounders for Schultz and Houston. LOL

Imagine there's no Carlton
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us, only sky
Imagine all the people
Livin' for today
Ah
Imagine there's no national draft
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to trade or swap for
And no pre-season draft, too
Imagine all the people
Livin' life in peace
You
You may say Carlton fans are dreamers
But they’re not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Schultz cheaper and more durable. They're about as good as each other in their respective positions
I like Schultz but Cerra finished 4th in our BNF in 2023 when we made a Prelim despite missing the last few games of 23' H+A season. He's critical to our midfield working optimally

Sold the farm?

A future first for an AA quality player in their prime!

Plus adding Perryman for nothing.

Will just tell Mick to reign Tom back in a bit so can grab him for a late rounder too 😜

Carlton realise they have peaked so are back rebuilding and developing draft picks.

Perryman and Houston won’t make a difference to your defence if your midfield keeps getting belted. There are only so many D50 entries that can be defended.

This is a dumb trade period by the Pies, did not address the real weaknesses in their team in the mid or fwd line.

Staggering that some Collingwood fans in this thread think that this was a successful trade period for them.

The Brainstrust have spoken.

Let's see what Lyon and Cornes (who have played about 600 more AFL games than the above two posters and are paid for their comments on the game) have to say about it in the morning....
