Oh no.

The boys On The Couch have been reading my BigFooty posts...

How many Carlton players would automatically step into every other team in the comp?

They added Harry and possibly Jagga (big call, particularly if we're talking 2025).

No Acres.
Embarrassing.
Harry McKay has come me out and said the Blues need a rebuild now too😂.
It just gets better and better.

He's average but he's twice the player Williams is 😂. Plus you were paying him that back in 2020 not just in today's enlarged cap.
Of course he is...

Also, in 2020 the cap was smaller but we had barely anyone on a big salary. In fact in heading into 2020 Carlton had underspent the salary cap by 5% in the previous two years. Meaning they were able to use 105% of the cap in 2020. A Williams deal would have been front-ended to take advantage of that.

Astute Cap management.

👏 👏 👏

Has worked out well for Youse.

Now you've got Williams, Cripps, McKay, Weitering, Walsh and Curnow on BIG contracts.
That's why you are all tip and no iceberg. There's 23 players in a team and your bottom 6 are as important as your too 6.
Blues experts don't understand that age old truism somehow.

Almost as bad as a club paying Perryman $900k 🤣.

Didn’t he go from midfielder, to tagger then back to defender in space of 3 weeks?
Yep. He's super flexible!

Ummm... He got moved back when McInnes did his AcL in the first QTR. I'd expect a super knowledgeable football guy like you to be able to appreciate that this flexibility is actually a MAJOR positive in his worth as a player... Not a negative

But alas.....
😂👍

Which show did McKay come out and say this ?

Are you ignoring the fact that we have asked which show McKay was quoted as saying this?
Sorry Wormy I don't stay tuned into Bigfooty 24/7 like you do. I may have been preoccupied with.... You know ...life.

Heard it second hand on the Ankle sore podcast.
Blues host also wants to trade out Cripps for Harley Reid 😂. Do you want to tell him?
But at least he knows where you're at.

So another bullshit made up suggestion , just thought you'd post it for kicks and see what reactions you'd get from your boyfriend ( which worked) , who has the exact same posting styles. I'm not surprised to be honest.

Sam Walsh ain't stepping into Hawthorn yeah.

We like him as opposition. Managed to hit Hawthorn players more often than Sicily on Thursday.

The only thing this season proves is it's very hard to predict what's going to happen. It's still very early in the season and after the opening round, I thought it would be a very long year for the Pies. After round two I'm happier.

I still feel Blues will be ok but they might rue that loss to Richmond when fighting for a spot in the 8

Both teams will be thereabouts, but we'll only know where things truly are after July. One thing I do know of, is Pies will eventually have their older stars fade and I worry about who's coming up behind them.

Reef might be a bigger loss than we expect. We'll see.

Hey, look everyone - Matt Crouch was a better player than Chad Warner in 2024.

Footywire says so:

On those stats I’d have Warner ahead - more goals, goal assists metres gained so sounds more direct and better use of possessions (even with slightly more turnover) than crouch

On those stats, it's at best debatable that Warner is ahead.

Particularly when you see that Crouch averages approximately 7 more effective disposals, 2 more tackles and 2 more clearances per game than Warner, for example.

In reality, Warner was 3 x the player Crouch was in 2024.
