At least now we have WalshistheGOAT back to simply hitting the like button after being owned in a direct exchange.

Always happy to put a moaning, contradicting dweeb back in their place.
Are you ok mate?

At risk of pissing off my Blue brethren. We finished with the same number of wins as the Pies and they beat us twice. We fell arse into the finals and got spanked.

2024 isn't really worth bragging about.
Who's bragging? We simply are stating we finished above the Pies.

Just remember when we're annoyed with Fudgey boy for being a blatant troll... At least he's not this bad

I actually have some level of respect for fadge, corn and a couple of others, as we they stay consistent with floating between playful agitators/trolls

I have little time for trolls who claim to be unbiased

Don't think any Blues fans were too pleased with our season as a whole Sinjin, certainly not to the point of bragging about it. As Rob said above, we've just reminded the arrogant Pie brethren that no matter how much flack they give us we still finished above the Cooked Pies in 2024

Carlton could have finished 17th and Pies 18th (or vice versa) and I think the thread would look the same tbh. Just the nature of the rivalry in this thread

I'm the same. Fudge, Corn, Pistol and Scritch all stick to their guns and keep things humerous at least... Old mate Karenbagger is just painful.

I agree they don't pretend to be something they aren't. Passionate one-eyed fans is what makes this thread entertaining.

Serious question. Would you have preferred to finish 9th but knock off Collingwood twice in the style we did to you and have Collingwood finish 8th and be tipped out of the finals in humiliating fashion . From the enjoyment of a season perspective.

I'll take finishing above the Pies and losing to them twice(not by much) everytime.

You're not asking me but it's an interesting question. I'd personally prefer to finish 8th and lose by 400pts in a final than finish 9th even if it meant no wins against the Pies. Any finals experience is good for a team that hasn't had much of it in recent years - especially for the younger players in the team. Will only help them in the long term.

Fair call from team development..I also can see why Carlton supporters would also take making the finals from.an enjoyment view. For our position it's different. Bad season, 8th or 9th no real difference for where we are team wise but the wins over the Blues were the season high.

I have nothing against Carlton, the football club. This group of people could be Geelong supporters and I'd treat them the exact same way. The moaning, whinging, deflecting, hypocrisy is called out on its own merit each and every time. The angry replies and baseless accusations are treated with the disdain they deserve.

Relax I was just giving some posters a compliment

If you don't like it, don't engage

But, you think some pie supporters haven't been moaning, whinging, deflecting?

Much like those great finals experiences for Essendon since 2004.

Being absolutely obliterated in an EF is the definition of making up the numbers. 2023 was a useful season. 2024 will only be useful if mistakes are learned from, but that isn't different to them finishing 9th.
