Oh.

So Carlton have a 30 year window within the nearly 130 year history of the game when they won more flags than Collingwood?

That's cute.

But that means Collingwood have been far superior to Carlton across the other 100 years.

Including the most recent quarter of a century, where Collingwood have continued to be a powerhouse of the competition, whereas Carlton have fluctuated between being mediocre and completely shite.
What does 16 flags each tell you?

The fact of the matter is, Carlton have NOT been better for the last 80 years.

They have had a 20 year window, during 1968 and 1987, where there were undisputed better than Collingwood.

But for the other 100 plus years in the history of the competition, Collingwood have shat over Carlton, including the last 37 years (since 1988).

Thems the cold hard facts...
When you're explaining you're losing mate.;)

Collingwood missing the finals in 2024 had nothing to do with depth, it was some of our stars who in prime ages that didnt show up.

DeGoey, Moore, IQ, Maynard were well down in 2024 when they were on the park - would expect much bigger impact and output from these guys in 2025.

And in the first month it was really only GOATcos and Cameron who consistently had a crack, many senior players still had full bellies - again this shouldnt be the case in 2025

3 players had down years so you went from 1st to 9th?

Sounds like you rely on your stars even more than us.

Also Fadge told me your poor year was due to player unavailability, an injury crisis for the ages it was.

Probably the result of a “PREMIERSHIP” hangover.

No players on your list have ever had this malady and most of your supporters have never had exposure to it so won’t understand it.

I guess my back-to-back Ressies Premierships are a figment of my imagination????

Since Carlton last won a flag, Collingwood made two Grand Finals, slumped to the bottom, won a flag, slumped to the bottom again, made a GF, dropped and reset a bit, then won another flag.

All Carlton have to show for since then is multiple wooden spoons, draft sanctions, Steven Seagal as captain and Owen 60.

Another example of an astute neutral.
