Incredibly not one current Carlton player would have a memory of Carlton winning a Premiership. No wonder they view each season with no hope and have such a loser mentality in big games.

Gee, then they don't have much passion for the club. Wow. No wonder they have become the least successful club this century.
Mate, do you honestly think the playing group and staff are sitting back wondering about previous era's .
Sure, they all aspire to the ultimate success, but would the success of a team 30 years ago be weighing on their shoulders- probably not.
Essendon, St Kilda ,Fremantle, Gold Coast and GWS - I'm sure all those players are entering the season with no hope whatsoever either. Did any of those sides lose to the Pies in 2024 ? What a bunch of losers

You've got to love Carlton supporters aligning themselves with clubs that have won no premierships between them in the last 24 seasons.
Though most of those teams have excuses.
St Kilda peaked at the same time as the mighty Geelong side of 2007 to 2011, and Collingwood of 2010/11. Otherwise, they'd have at least one flag to their names in that time.
GWS and Gold Coast haven't been in the competition for the entire time period, and GWS have at least contended for flags in that time - 2016, 2019, 2023 and 2024.
And the ironic thing is that Carlton are still inferior to all of these teams, given despite having two cracks at the lowly Collingwood in 2024, they failed on both occasions!

Tis normal to use recent history as a bit of a guide, off-season movements etc.
Pies will beat Carlton twice in 2025, like they did in 2024.

But premiers typically struggle the year after these days. They were still more consistent than carlton i thought.
