You're desperately hoping that's the case with Daicos.

He has plenty of upside - that's why he's PROJECTING to be the GOAT.

And if he doesn't improve, we'll just have to settle for him being the best player in the game for a decade as he has been over 2023/24, and 'only' circa Top 10 on the GOAT list.
Where is he improving ?

You brought up Nick's brownlow votes cobbsy. Did my eyes deceive me ?
Yeah votes, and you deflected to medals

But Daics has a higher career average and also the most votes since the end of rd 7 2024, current

When he burned off poor plodding Walshy for the winner, that was the moment he became the undisputed game's best player

Ha ha ha you blokes are weird, find a timeline that suits and fire away.

More than happy to talk Brownlow votes.

Quite scary that Daicos is only one of two players in the history of the game to average more than 1 Brownlow vote per game, a mere 3 years into his career (the stats therefore including his rookie year as a teenager).

How many others had his team involved in a selfish stat padding s*** circus like Nicky did this year? Demanding 1-2s non stop in terrible positions and burning teammates galore all in the endeavor for individual glory... Embarrassing stuff from young Goatie.

Facts are Cripps is the only player to either win or come top 2 in all 3 of the major awards in 2024. Quite obviously the best player in the game currently going off of that.

Yeap, cost his team finals

If Cripps or Walsh were anywhere near as good a ball user and decision maker as Daicos, their Carlton teammates would be doing the same to get the ball into their hands.

But they're not.

Any observations as to his 'selfishness' or otherwise in the 2023 finals series?

And any thoughts on Cripps' decision to try to break a tackle in the dying minutes of the final home and away game of 2022, instead of handballing to a teammate in open space when he had the opportunity to do so?

No offense to Nicky Fudger but his kicking efficiency and disposal in general was levels below what it was as a half back in 2022/early 2023.

He was a hack kick merchant when he was getting tagged.

Selfish stat padding of the highest order demanding handballs from teammates when he was under extreme heat, he just wanted his supercoach and fantasy points.

Didn't Nick ask for the ball ( selfishly) when the whistle blew in a ball up situation, handing the dockers a gift goal to cost Collingwood the win, earlier in the year ? Oh boy

Think just about everyone on the Carlton side condemned that play from Cripps. But like a great player does, he went away and reflected on it and came back a far more selfless player.

Somehow I don't think the kid who demanded a Brownlow clause put in his first year contract is going to undertake such introspection.

Yep. Don't forget when he bolted to the boundary to avoid physical contact with the game on the line because he was afraid of getting hurt.

Ok, since Nick's career has started, Cripps has outpolled Nick by 19 brownlow votes.
How does that make him better than Cripps during this time line ? Fudge me some numbers, please.

Even Sheezel has him covered at the same age

Rabbit is a decent little player, but needs to be more selfless

Well done, Einstein.

A player's kicking and disposal efficiency when playing as an inside midfielder was worse than when he was playing predominantly as a half back flanker...

Who would have thought?
