Now , why would I bother when you have already confirmed your own 2 players into the side, and your friend has already removed McKay and Curnow from the team in place of McStay and another Collingwood player, and has removed Cripps from the midfield in lieu of Mitchell.
So , as confirmed, there's taking the piss, and then there are posters who take it further than that.

A key piece of analysis they found was that high-school kids taken in the first round of the draft busted around 60% of the time, and after 5 years only 10% were actually major league starters.
If you want to win games, like the As did, you want to bring in mature players who will perform.
Or you can decide to be a feeder club, never contending and just being happy to be in the big league making $$ for your owner and hoping a kid delivers on potential (who will then just leave and go to a big club who wants to win).
If it's that ridiculous an assertion, tell us all why you're picking Cripps ahead of Mitchell, and Curnow/McKay ahead of Cox/McStay based on how they have historically performed in finals?

Ignoring the fact that Moneyball was using analytics to identify players that are being undervalued by the market relative to the impact they would have on the specific team. Houston/Perryman have not been undervalued by the market - in fact the latter has been overvalued due to the FA system.
This doesn't mean they are bad moves but to characterise them as Moneyball acquisitions is just wrong.
