I agree with RAPPA, CFC is overreactionary, liable to do anything as soon as there is some bad stuff going down and the media machine revs up.

Voss won't stand a chance if he becomes a laughing stock, there are early signs of it.

I reckon Nix will survive as long as we're in the hunt for finals till late in the season. We're a pretty average football club, selling finals hope is a pass.

That's probably true, however if Adelaide start the season poorly and are all but out of finals contention by May then the Crows might make a change.

The one I wonder about is Fremantle. Clearly the results are not there with the Dockers with only one finals series in the past 9 years (an unconvincing September appearance in 2022) but there seems to be no pressure at all on the underperforming team and their coach, with many excuses rolled out whenever the side fails to reach its goals. People talk up the Dockers like they are going to be one of the greatest sides ever but I just don't see it.

I can see quite a few changes in the coaching ranks next year (I said the exact same thing for this season but only Adam Simpson ended up getting the chop)

  • Nicks is gone if Crows don't make finals
  • Brad Scott is in trouble if Essendon don't make finals
  • Justin Longmuir is gone if Fremantle don't make finals
  • Simon Goodwin is in trouble if Melbourne don't make finals
  • This should be Hinkley's last year no matter what the circumstance
  • Ross Lyon is in trouble if St Kilda don't make finals
  • Sydney could John Longmire the tap on the shoulder
  • Luke Beveridge is in trouble if Dogs don't make finals

Was going to post similar, I think there will be a bit of turnover next year, not the least both SA teams having new coaches.

I would say Goodwin as the first coach to be sacked, but given everything that’s happened at Melbourne the last few years, I would be surprised if all of a sudden something popped up and it happened this year. Not saying it will, just wouldn’t be surprised.

I’d say Nicks first, and with Hinkley, likely won’t be sacked, it’ll be positioned as a thank you, you can coach out the year but advised no new contract to be offered. Which could he awkward if they make finals again.

Separately, if there is a lot of turnover in 2025, it does put Tassie in an interesting position, as any new coaching contract would probably be sitting around the 3 year mark, effectively locking out a few options for Tassie.

McQualter.

If we lose week 1 vs GC, there's a fair chance we will be 0-7.

If pick #3 fires early for Carlton it's not going to go down well considering how hard he hitched his wagon to Baker.

Hmm, no offence, but I’m not sure if you’re being cryptic or have a disability.
That account might be a Russian "numbers station" or code word dead drop.

"Comrade, just search Bigfooty user Leeda, third word in first post of day is your code word, consult your manual".

Voss is signed until end of 2026. Doubt Carlton will sack him and pay out a year and a half of his contract.
It's funny - usual suspects voting on Voss to get the chop. All Collingwood and Freo supporters.
Yeah Carlton haven't sacked a coach for nearly 3 years now. That's like 100 years for other clubs

Why? He got a list that everyone thought could contend and he's had 1 season where they had a run at it. He's also got a dream draw so not making finals would be a disaster when the team probably only has 3 more seasons till Cripps declines and you drop off. A new coach will need time to settle and bed down a game plan so think the change will have to happen at the end of the year if Carlton don't fire a shot.

JLo is the same except his team was younger when he started and they have been trading players out for the future. The future is now and if it doesn't happen, someone else will get the opportunity in 2026.

If longmuirs list (7 of top 10 bnf u25) was at crazy vossy stage
(1 of top 10 bnf u25) we would of burnt him on the stake for 2024 season
Freo’s prime years start in 2025
If blues don’t make finals this year
You want to keep him?
If your happy with Voss
I’m happy with Voss (hinkleys 2IC)
Viva la Voss
