Since the final 8 was introduced the team thats lost the qualifying final and taken on the same opponent in the grand final has won it.

Brisbane 2003
Sydney 2005
West coast 2006
Hawks 2015.

If lions win tomorrow .... that stat will be haunting me all week.

We also haven’t lost to the same team twice since 2016.
Good luck tomorrow night.

West Coast beat Collingwood in the QF and then in the GF in 2018 so not all the stats are against Brisbane :)

Richmond don't lose twice to teams in one year, so it's unlikely they will lose to the Lions again. They've won the last 15/16 against the Lions and they've won the last 5/6 against the Cats. They win most games at the Gabba. They have a ton of winning GF experience. The lions, should they make the GF, will be nervous given no players have played in one (except Birchall I think).

The list goes on.

Lions are better across all lines and even better (should they make it) will go in as underdog.

Yeah but Collingwood don't win Grand Finals, so how does that help us?

The trade period hasn’t started yet friend, no need to be a public salt merchant.
Why am I salty? I don't hate Brisbane at all. I just think Richmond in a cut throat final (grand final no less) will comfortably beat a relatively inexperienced Brisbane side. Richmond still have a really good record against Brisbane.

Geelong will also struggle against Richmond, but I believe they have the experience to make it more of a contest.

I would be barracking for Geelong tomorrow if I supported the Tiges. I think the Tiges have them covered.
Would rather play the Lions.
Can't see the Lions troubling the Tiges at all.

The Cats have been thereabouts for so long they're finals hardened, and if the Tiges are off the boil could give us trouble.
If the Cats do make it will Danger turn up?
And being a grand final Selwood will have to get over his fear of Richmond and actually play.

Maybe, the Lions are fragile in some respects.

I just have doubts about the Cat's lack of speed against the Tigers.

And to think that some people were saying Richmond couldn't win it the long way.. I predicted that Richmond would make it to the GF against Brisbane and beat Brisbane in a thriller.. now let's see what happens next!

Struggling to care this month.
Just emotionally checked out of the feeling of a football season when it really hit me fair dinkum finals series with proper length game time no going to happen.
Somebody will win it but I just barely watched more than bits of pieces of games and do not feel the need to check out more of games when it all be so predictable with congested football and slow sideways football, the norm of this season, rather than the exception. Hope Brisbane win it but I have no real value on what it means given it such reduced game time and such poor quality overall.

I hope thing improve in 2021 for everything and football as cannot see myself continue to care if this is what continues for this decade much longer.
For me it is like falling out of love of someone you used to love. You still like, but the feeling of being in love is now over.

Honestly jog on then. Why do people feel the need to come onto a footy forum to tell others they don't care about the game anymore. You must care somewhat to be here. Last night was a slog in the wet but still a brilliant game.

Think the winner will come from Sat night

Need Danger to finally get a GF birth
