Take Kennedy out of that forward line and not a lot to shit bricks about

What a stupid comment. If any team had one of the best forwards in the modern era taken out of their side, the forward line would drop off. Darling averaging over 40 goals a season (currently more than any forward on your list) Ryan hasn't even debuted yet but kicked over 70 goals in the wafl, he could be a freaking super star for all you know.

In the context of the thread i was replying to it was not a stupid comment at all. And Ryan could also be a flop like he has been in the last 2 Grand finals.

If you're playing two defenders on Kennedy and two on Ryan (like what happened in both wall grand finals) then we're going to be dominating in other positions.

I don't disagree that Yeo is quality when playing half back, but the post I quoted explicitly stated he was an a-grade midfielder which he is frankly nowhere near being.

Last season, he played most of the first half of the season as a half back and was gunning it. Then Simmo moved him around to the middle and forward and his form dropped off massively. I for one thought he was very lucky to be AA. Howe was much more consistent across HB.

He would have to improve massively to get anywhere near covering Priddis or Mitchell, let alone being a genuine A grade mid. Just leave him at half back.

100% totally agree.

That was why he was left out of my list of players most likely to fill the breach left by Pritchell. Sorry if you were somehow left in any doubt about that!

Can you please explain who the two defenders were that were on Ryan in those WAFL GF’s you didn’t care about?

As for forwards.
Cripps Darling Le cras
Ryan Kennedy Rioli
Vardy as a back up kp. Venables to take Le cras place this season.
Has kicked big scores and would have that Freo backline shitting bricks.

Your "best 6" forward line has two blokes who haven't even played a game of AFL yet. Le Cras is long done and dusted (most West Coast supporters wanted him to retire at the end of 2017) and Cripps is a C grade player at best. You need to get a grip on reality. That's a very, very average forward line with one genuine star in Kennedy.

Well I can’t see either win in the next 2-3 years and predictions beyond that are a total crapshoot, so who ****ing knows.

And that 'average' Eagles forward line is twice as good as Freo's.

That applies even more comparing backlines.

That is the point of the thread.

Spot on.

Its embarrassing that Freo fans even defend their forward line. Its been terrible for years and bloody awful to watch, even with competent players in the front half.

How you continually go watch a team kick 5-6 goals some weeks, is beyond me.

Whatever Hawthorn are doing is also beyond most of your "70,000" members as only half show up. It' up to the other side to pull a crowd.

The point of the thread is an opinion piece on which team is closer to a flag, which the voting hands to Fremantle by a landside.

Even if Fremantle had a competent forward line, WC would still smash the lights out of it.

Its the method as much as it is the personnel which makes 8 goals 9 Fremantle, a continual non threat.
Freo averaged 72 points a game last year or 10.12.72.

In A way, it can be deceiving. Who is to say freo ould kick 5.12.42 one week then 15.12.102 the next week?

I voted for west coast for the simple fact they re a ecent mid or 2 away from being really good. Saying that.... My only concern this season is to see how Freos youth pans out in 2018.

Stopped reading after Johnson.

The guy has been cooked for a while, knee is pretty well stuffed.

Oh and McCathy..........really?

Take Kennedy out of that forward line and not a lot to shit bricks about

Darling at 25 would already be a clear 2nd in Fremantles all time goal kicker tally by 40 goals, but yeah McCarthys awesome. Let’s just pretend 2017 never happened

Gotta love the Darling and Cam McCarthy comparisons, I really do.

I will say this again. Darling Has kicked bags of Goals, that is due to be the 2nd tall. Kennedy gets double tagged or at worst Gets he oppositions main KPD. Take away Kennedy in that forward line, would Darling kick 60 goals a year?

As I have posted, would Darling in Freos 22? Of course. Only problem is, he would be heavily tagged.

Cam McCarthy kicked 25 goals in 2017. Yet he was given the main KPF. At GWS, he kicked 35 goals in 21 games in 2015 as a 3rd tall behind Cameron and Patton.

Imagine if Freo developed a decent KPF or Ruckman/KPF? Cam McCarthy would easily kick 40 goals a year.

Bastardization of Bigfooty at its best. The "Average" Eagles forward line is twice as good as freos? I don't think so.

Again, Freo average 10.12.72 in 2017, Did the eagles averaged 20.24 in 2017? Nope

I am not Deluded, Freo are in a rebuild. I wont deny Freo need to fix up their forward line either.

As It Stands, Tabs has had 5 years of development on him and has mixed opinions on the Freo board. He hasn't developed as well as we hoped but at least we made the effort to develop a tall kpf Even if he is a crap one. Dixon Is a Rookie so I see him getting a couple of games ths season.

Apeness I had High hopes on being a 30-40 goal a season Ruck/KPF. Gutte with his knee reco. Luke Strnadica is The other Ruck KPF. I have hopes for him to develop too.

Kicked 50 when Kennedy missed about 15 games as a second year player.

It is not unreasonable to assume Darling could kick 60 if Kennedy was entirely missing. We target him (JK) a lot - something like 70% of our forward entries go towards him in the past two years (there was an article on this last year, sorry can't find it at at the moment).

The point of the thread is an opinion piece on which team is closer to a flag, which the voting hands to Fremantle by a landside.

That's simply because freo are rebuilding, and WC aren't there yet. Doesn't take a genius to work out why the masses vote like that. Perhaps you should use your brain and think for yourself since no poles on any thread have predicted the last 2 premiers or the last 2 ladders.

His problem is that he has a heart the size of a pea.

Last AFL goal ever kicked on Subiaco Oval.

Runs back with the flight of the ball at full tilt, takes the mark, collects the post and calmly slots the goal that guarantees his side a shot at finals footy - Jack Darling, peaheart
