On the flipside gotta remember Fletch's peak was 10 years ago and he hasn't slowed down.
Been the star backman for 15 years, from his 2nd or 3rd year until last year when Pears and Dempsey have stepped up to the plate.

Very, very few can say they were at the top for even 8 years - 15 is immense.

Fletcher. I always feel he is underrated in the footy world. He is up there with the best of the modern era, very rarely does he play bad games. He is one of few players I have always felt completely comfortable with when he has ball in hand.

Fletcher and Wanganeen, Fletch must get some extra credits for longevity and durability though. Amazing that Fletch was playing on Lockett, Kernahan, Ablett, Dunstall, Modra, etc when he was 17 and now at 34 he was playing on Abletts son on Friday night. He is just a freak. Wanganeen was a champion and him leaving is just about the worst thing that has happened to our club.

Terry Daniher played across the park, but more on the ball & forward rather than back, so probably should not be counted.

Fletch, then Harves/Wanganeen/Wellman.

Harvey was an AA CHB at 184 cms, Wangas was outstanding (still burns that he left ), and Wellman would be one of the best CHBs in the league over the past 20 years, dual AA at CHB (only 3 others have ever done this, Jakovich, Roos & Leppitsch)

Fletch, though, surpasses all of this, pure quality
