Honestly they were a good group of supporters. There just wasn’t many of them. I had some good hearted chats with a lot of Melbourne fans who were classy in defeat too which makes a nice change from sitting with the absolute ferals at Essendon, Pies and especially Carlton home games

I can't believe you, or anyone actually at the game, were engaging with us on the game day thread! There's so much to see and watch in front off, behind and the play itself. Each to their own I guess.

I know what you mean, but you must have seen the difference it made for us having a mobile 3rd tall who can mark, pressure and spoil? He didnt even need to have offensive ability outside the marking.

I'm all aboard this train, Zurhaar is absolutely a must get this off season. He will make an incredible difference

Louge's athleticism really caused them issues. His man found it hard to zone off as his closing speed is terrific. A number of goals resulted from him splitting marking contests 55/45 to us.

Zurhaar is a spud. All the talent in the world but can anyone think of a single Zurhaar highlight that is not him taking a goal square pack mark jumping from the back? As a medium forward where is the repeat leads to create space for teammates? Pushing up the ground to link? God forbid, a tackle? Pass.

Time to update this bad boy

First half of 2012 elimination final was our best ever IMO
The utter joy in watching all those entitled Geelong players all pointing in different directions and yelling at each other immediately after the quarter time siren will live with me always.

Disagree, he pressures and kicks goals in the worst side in the comp, he would be terrific in our team

Acres was important again. Owned his wing and a couple of desperate contests made a difference. His season has been a revelation.

He created the goal the essentially killed the game by running forward with the flight of a long inside kick 50 and destroying the contest allowing Shooter to crumb and kick the goal.

I don’t think I posted anything after halftime, those threads are full of waffle anyway so sometimes it’s a good space to vent when we aren’t going well.

I agree with you that they're a civil bunch, but that still doesn't explain their shit turnout. Seriously a top 4 game where they may/did lose after a 17 week trot is either plastic support or arrogant campaigners??

Does anyone have the link to the main board game day thread? can’t seem to find it.. I’m looking via my mobile, strangely can’t find it

Thanks!

I am exhausted with euphoria......I just don't even know what to say. Which is unusual for me!

I don't. I don't need to say anything. But....like our mighty Dockers...I will find a way!

That was as f***ing epic a home & away game as you'll ever see. I have no way to properly describe what I saw, and what indomitable emotions I'm feeling after such an incredible performance. Clearly after half-time we 'clicked' and went into ape-shit mode. Some of the footy was the best I've ever seen, certainly in the Longmuir era - that mixture of toughness and sexuality combined, we just would NOT wilt. We came to rock the party, and some of the coaching moves were insane and justified why J-Lo is the right man at the helm. I'm convinced we lost sight during those wet weather games, the coaching group got them back down to earth and re-focused and re-energised. Masterstroke and then some.

Just jaw agape at some of the stuff I saw. That Frederick tap back was ridiculously insane.

And just like that the hype train came bustling through with all its sexy bells and alluring whistles and said "hey kid, wanna hop on". To which the immediate reply was "f** yeah!". Remember what I said - pay attention, you dunderheads! :p LIVE IN THE MOMENT. I know some of you sneaky bastard players are lurking here, you can thank me later :tongueoutv1:

So farkin proud of this team right now. My only gripe was that someone blew a final whistle...I could watch that forever.

How you like THEM apples?!?!?! All 38 of them ;)
