Im wrapped to see him go.

Very basic player who hasn’t developed as we hopped. Now either one of Moore or McGuane (don’t matter which one, as they are 6 of one half doz of the other) to be on traded and we are on the way to getting a quality back half.

Regardless of who goes and who stays can we just have faith in the people who will make those decisions and accept that it is better them than us on BF making the calls..... please?

Like who? If we're talking McGuane I just don't rate him as highly as you I guess. Even if he is one of our best defenders now it doesn't mean much to me, we need to do better.

Probably why Dimma was pumping games into Astbury, Gourdis and even Grimes late on.

Jackson Tuck McGuane Graham King are a few that spring to mind, every chance you get these guys cop a hammering from you and yet all 5 were rather important to our winning streak in the middle of the year. Granted they aren't AA quality and most likely never will be but all are valuable role players. Thats the point I've been trying to get across all year long. We don't need a side full of AA to be competitive down the track, what we need are players who can be relied on to do their job week to week which allows guys like Cotchin Martin Deledio & Riewoldt to shine.

As for Astbury Gourdis and Grimes getting games ahead of McGuane late in the year, that probably had something to do with McGuane going in for early surgery on an injured groin, more than them being preferred to McGuane.

They can be role players in the 2nd botton team on the ladder. That's the point you fail to grasp. When we get better or to get better a fair few have to be phased out/will be phased out (not specfically all you mention but some ala White, King, etc).

Never have I said we need a team full of AA's, that's just your assumption because you don't understand my argument. Just certain players need to be upgraded which is obvious. You act as if we alraedy have the talent we need to be successful. Just because certain players get games now or were apart of a few wins in the 2nd worst team doesn't mean I have to rate them at all or think they can be an important part of the future. We have along way to go and we need to continue to cut, draft and replace. I'm just being realistic.

Don't worry I grasp it and realise that they need to be replaced, the point is we can't replace all of them in one foul swoop. If we were to replace all our players that need to be upgraded this year we would be replacing 12-15 players in just the national draft. The problem with that is all we're going to do for the most part is replace a spud with a spud. You need to weed them out gradually. Last year a dozen left, this year I'm expecting another 6-8 to go. Next year another half dozen is possible.

At the risk on being labelled a geek, it's not spelling, it's grammar. Bazzar spelt 'wrapped' correctly, even if it was used in the wrong context. Unless he has covered himself in wrapping paper and is standing outside punt road, waiting for Thursfield to leave. In which case he's totally correct.

No, no, it's definitely a spelling mistake. If you say, I went their to watch the footy, when it should be I went there to watch the footy it is a spelling mistake. Same with wrapped and rapt.... but we are arguing semantics!!!

i have never got the impression that barnzy thinks we have to replace all the duds in one go that a defense mechanism used by the defenders of mediocrity.

and i have never ever seen barnzy suggest we need a team of aa's upgrading players usually means they are rated below standard.again its some thing to say to make the argument stronger and make the person look silly.
