Yeah it's better to just not have first round picks in case the guy you pick up isn't immediately a star, sort of like those John Meesen, Furgus Watts, James Sellar or Lawrence Angwin characters... actually I can see why you don't value first round picks.

Even you would admit Reilly was awful this year. So that was no loss.

All the others missed 1 or 2 games here there.

Jenkins did nothing all year so he has not been missed.

Pretty significant injury given the events preeceding our forward line structure. Losing Tippett really did put all our eggs in one basket and then to have the the basket break really really hurt us.

Never the less we have had key players miss throughout the year for variable periods. Reily, Sloane, Dangerfield, Jenkins, Lynch, Crouch etc.

Reilly - spud, no longer best 22
Sloane - only missed 2-3 games
Dangerfield - ditto
Lynch - ditto (and no, the games where he was in the SANFL because he couldn't crack your side don't count as an injury)
Jenkins - hard to see him regaining his best 22 spot with Walker, Lynch and Johnston all in better form.
