Review Winners and Losers of the draft

Strange, i already did a search and found nothing

Ok it may have been removed - on the MFC board there is nobody I know who posts that has been inside the club and has had any conversations with MFC staff. But think it was late NOV. I gave my review of his talents and pointed out I had even seen JT at the game - sorry I thought it was well known MFC wanted Oliver and why they traded to get pick before Bombers - it was also well known Bombers would have selected Parish & Oliver. I thought nothing of it.

This is not correct. Lets call it Bulldust to cover your tracks.
Apologies Jason Taylor, tell us what really happened:rolleyes:. It was reported and quoted that we decided on our pick shortly before the draft, what evidence do you have otherwise? You're essentially calling our head recruiter a liar. Little wonder you got booted from our board.

hahaha - I rest my case.

Think you miss the point aaaagain. Im calling the reporter out. Demons where into Oliver - hence why they made the trade to get a live pick BEFORE Essendon ... that was done long before the draft.

Think about it - as if before the draft they are going to announce who they are going to take at pick 3 LMAO - hahahaha

Its called covering your tracks. Exactly why I dont read the media. You tell the media a "puff" story and some people actually believe it - obviously you did hahaha .

PS I just read the two links you gave - dont know why I bothered. They say absolutely nothing they are classic "puff" stories.

Yeah laugh it up, of course he's not going to announce who we were taking (not that it would've made a difference since 1 and 2 were set in stone) but why bang on about not having made a decision and having a shortlist, just say you've decided and leave it at that, no need to 'cover tracks' as you put it. No point arguing with you, you've got zero to back up your 'facts'.

Yip Im not arguing with you. You read the "stories" you linked too ... they say absolutely nothing. Next time you are at the club have a chat to JT - Im sure he will tell you the way it was. or Continue as normal and believe what the media write - LMAO

Loooove Clayton Oliver.
Reckon the top handful are as good a crop as we've seen for a while with without a weak player (it appears).

Carlton, Essendon, Sydney Melbourne and Brisbane all have very exciting prospects and yet they all play so different, its looking like a awesome top 5, hopefully Francis follows suit soon, his reading of the play and intercept marking are real highlights of his game.

Might get a look at Darcy Tucker this week.

22 possies and two goals for Peel on the weekend

Couldn't agree more!

Looking forward to seeing him play. Thought he would have been a good fit for the blues at pick 19. A lock and load half back with excellent kicking skills to rebound the ball out of the back half.

Sydney are in a world of trouble, they have a bunch of aging stars and not much coming through.
They're a younger list that relies on their aging veterans. The concern is that they have nothing coming through... Sydney's young talent is very thin on the ground, a consequence of the Franklin splash.
So, we're now two games into the season and the Swans sit in second place at 2-0 with a winning percentage of 212.9%. So far our best 22 has featured the following 14 players:

Under 23 - Cunningham, Heeney, Papley, Hewett, Mills, Jones, Lloyd, Mitchell, Robinson
23 to 25 - Hannebery, Parker, Rampe, Towers, Talia

Parker and Mitchell sit 1 and 2 respectively in the AFLCA votes.

Good call :thumbsu:

It's funny that you think 2 games of football means anything. Particularly against weak opposition.

We started him on a hff and wing in the NAB.
Interesting. As a junior I saw him more as a meat and potatoes half back. The kind of player who you know what you are going to get, and is very dependable with his disposal. Although perhaps not a match winner, I see him as one of those players that would be a solid contributor for an afl team for a long period of time.
