Words and Phrases you DON'T want the new coach expressing

Really really pleased that Hirdy hasn't said the word 'journey' since his first week as coach. Maybe he read this thread?

But the mind boggles when I read the lastest article from the Age yesterday when he says our MF is our greatest strength and suggests that even Mark Williams might be givin a chance in the guts..wtf?

Think before you speak James.

Yeah, I'm pretty concerned on our midfield being called "our greatest strength". I was expecting that it would be seen as the total opposite, and that it would be given the overhaul and commitment that it so desperately needs.

But to call it the best part of our list?.. err.

Maybe Hirdy sees/knows something we don't?

I can only hope!

Essendon coach James Hird welcomes Bomber hype AAP From: Herald Sun January 12, 2011 11:43AM 31 commentsIncrease Text SizeDecrease Text SizePrintEmail Share

I cant work out how to put up articles...

But this today in the Herald Sun pleased me...I swear Hirdy has read this thread and worked out that no Essendon supporter ever wants to hear the word 'journey' again. No mention of it.

He's saying 'improvement' alot now. I can handle that..cause that's what we need...the most.

Yes, 'journey' is gone for good by the looks of it and phrases like 'shaping these young men' etc is out the door too.

I'm really starting to like the way Hirdy handles the media and the way he deals with the never ending pesky, repetitive questions.

Nothing gets him rattled. He just ignores the stupid question (Sheedy like) and gives an answer he wants to give, with-out looking annoyed (Knights like)...he's doing alright.
